Hare Rama Krishna.

Respected Gurus and Friends,

I have a question about Graha Yuddha and how to jusdge planets who are

engaged in warfare (in same degree). I thought that the planet with

the higher degree wins the war, but recently read that the reverse is

true. But I am still not sure how weak the defeated planet becomes,

whether that entire Bhava is destroyed or how else this must be

interpreted.

2. If this is happening in the last degree of a rasi, then what

further effects can one predict?

Thanks,

Sudha

Dear Sudha,

It is said that the Planet to the North is one that is winner. Venus is

winner whether to North or South. There is a more onerous method of

calculating this in Graha Laghava, but the simpler method suffices.

Dear Chandrashekarji,

Thank you for the answer. Now, if there is a graha yuddha in a bhava,

is that bhava affected by this fact? i.e. is it spoiled to some

effect. Also, if the yuddha is between friends, does that make a

difference? And does the degree of the planets within the rasi

matter? ie middle vs end?

Thanks and warm regards,

Sudha

Dear Sudha,

The bhavas whose lord gets defeated is weakened as is the planet

itself. In other words it is rendered incapable of giving its full

results. The Bhava in which the yuddha happens getting spoilt or

strengthened would depend on the position of its Lord, dispositor of

its Lord and aspects received by the Bhava, besides the effects that

the winning planet will have on the Bhava.

Respected Gurus and friends

Pranams

Is a graha said to be in yuddha only if they are in the same degree

or if they are within 1 degree or within a few degrees?

Thanks and regards

Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat

Dear Shri Chandrashekharji,

Is there a way in JHL to find out which planet is in North? If not, can you

kindly explain how to check on this. I have Yuddha between Saturn and Venus and

as per exception listed by you, Venus will win, though it is lower in longitude!

Is my understanding right?

A related question is if the two planets having graha yudhha make a good yoga,

would the yoga get diluted because of one of them getting weaker?

Kind Regards

Ramesh

Dear Ramesh,

The best way is to give dishas to various Bhavas and Rasis and find

whether the planet is to the North or South of other planet from its

degrees. The yoga would still work but would be weaker.
