AL and UL

Respectfully,

would somebody help me determine my AL and UL. I believe the AL would

be 2nd house since lagna lord is in the first.

 

then the UL I understand is the Arudha of the twelfth house so that

means to take the lord of the twelfth and count the number of houses

it is away from its placement in the rasi?

Whenever an arudha falls in the first or seventh house from which you are

determining, then take the tenth therefrom. For example, as your lagna lord is

in lagna, the AL will be in tenth from the lagna ie. Taurus. Your UL is in

Aries, in the same way. The reason for this is that the first and seventh

houses show Satya, and cannot be associated with maya (arudha).
