Well How to find by looking at any chart whether Moon is Benefic or

Malefic is the next question?

Before this Let me ask? What does two palnets in one house signify?

Simply speaking It means when seen from the a particular point from

earth, either they are in straight line or in slightly devaition from

straight line.

Now apply this to Sun & Moon If they are in the same House( assume

same degree.) It means when seen from the earth they are in straight

line. Thus it is new moon day as u cant see the moon.

Thus Sun and Moon in one house mean that at the time of the birth it

was a new moon day(or other day as per longitudes).

As moon starts moving away the brightness increases thus waxing cycle

starts. at 180 degree difference the Full moon day comes. So if moon

is in seventh house from Sun the baby is born on Full moon day.

thus moons position in 2,3,4,5,6, some degrees in seventh house show

waxing cycle.

Similarly moons position in 8,9,10,11,12 (some degrees in 1st and 7

th house) shows waning cycle.

Motion.

Moon travels 13 degrees and 20 minutes in a day. Thus to traverse a

sign it takes (30/13.3333) 9/4 days(2.25) days. 2 days and 6 hours.

Thus to find whether moon is benefic subtract from the moons

longitude suns longitude. If difference is between 90 and 270 degree

moon is benefic.

I hope this clarifys cycles of moon.

Best wishes

Rajesh
