Om Krishna Guru

I'd like to take this opportunity, to Introduce myself to the list, and answer ur question.

My name is Visti Larsen, and i've practiced astrology for 3 years, and the two

of those years were dedicated to Western Astrology. I began Jyotish this Feb,

and those who know me probably laugh at my intensity. =).

I'll do my best to answer your questions in the most logical mannor.

***************

The Sign in the Lagna(Ascendant) changes approx, every two hours, and within

that time frame a whole lot of people can be born, which apperently have

completely different lives! Yet the Same Rasi(D-1) Chart. <--(this is where

western astrology has its problems).

Now Consider the Rasi Chart as a very general perspective of the person, from

which MANY things can be predicted.

Lets say there is a problem related to the 9th house in your chart; well 9th

house means alot of things; Father, teacher, travel, etc, etc.. Well which of

them to chose from?

This is where divisional charts kick in; To see if the health problem is related

to father i look to D-12 which shows parents, and look to its 9th house.

If theres nothing to support the indications of the Rasi chart, i look towards

other charts, to see which of the many indications could be signified.

So the description of the Divisional Charts(Vargas) would be; the details of the

different houses.

Many people rely solely on Rasi and Navamsa chart to determine events and do so

with a good range of succes, but this is comonly attributed to a strong

intuition, which is inevitable with astrologers.

Hope this answers your question.

Best wishes, Visti.
