Visti

Have you directed this to me because I have dared to point out that the

individual with his or her free will is as important as the chart in doing a

chart reading?????

Astrology without consideration for the sensitive, breathing and vulnerable

human that comes with the chart is the type of astrology that ultimately leads

to pain and suffering for the client. Each chart is unique, but to ignore the

human that comes baring the chart is unconscionable. I know that this group is

for beginners, and so I do not fit in. I just visited and saw the direction was

without regard to the human. The longer you do this work, the more humbled you

will become to the process. I have read thousands of charts and am willing to

be enlightened by each encounter with a client. Astrology offers deep and

subtle insight along with practical predictions. To miss the power and the

impact of this information on the client is to operate from ego. I have read

many texts but the power of the individual soul to manifest greatness from a

difficult chart, or to experience suffering in a wonderful chart is ever

humbling. In time, this humility comes to all astrologers who care about their

clients.

Om Krishna Guru

Welcome to the list.

I think the ability to predict a persons behaviour and ego, has todo more with

the astrological capabilities of the astrologer.

I'm very disapointed to see how so many astrologers state that astrology is only

superficial, this just shows how lazy many are. This shouldn't at all be

encouraged.

Everyone is different, and their charts will show it for sure.

In Ancient times astrologers could give marvelous predictions, beyond

comprehension, the nadis show this extensively, however i won't comment on the

authenticity of some nadi-readers, for the sake of this list.

Jyotish has the power to go into that level of detail, the only hindrage is the

capability of the astrologer.

Merry Christmas all,

Best wishes, Visti.

Re: [Vedic Astrology] Re: How to correlate different charts?

Perhaps they were more difficult to calculate in times past. I have found

through experience that the true nodes are just that true.

When there is a transit that is triggered directly by a node it is very

powerful. There is not much difference, and that is true, but the closer to

exact seems to be closer to accurate prediction.

To all

I'll take amoment to introduce myself. I am a professional astrologer. For

over 20 years I worked with Western astrology alone. For the past 3 years I

have included Vedic astrology. I am certified by ACVA. What I have found is

that individual charts rarely are as clear and clean as the descriptions in

texts. It is very important to know how the native is using the gifts in the

chart to offer useful insight into what will come. The chart alone can be

clinical and impersonal. Describing an individual without their presence or

ability to ask and respond to questions can lead the astrologer into a false

sense of ego. We all do it, but it is important to acknowledge free will and

the native's ability to choose how he or she will use the chart's gifts.

In the case of exalted planets, I have found the native can be inwardly peaceful

and not outwardly successful. This is particularly true when the exalted planet

is retrograde. When a planet is exalted, the person does not seem to need to

approval of others. The journey may not look wonderful to others but the inner

world is usually rich. Why would someone have health problems with exalted

planets? That is not a simple question to answer, Consider that in the

rapid-paced world, illness gives the opportunity to slow down.

A debilitated planet that has some form of neecha bunga often manifests as more

outward success than an exalted planet does. This comes from the desire to

reach out for success and manifestation.

Just some thoughts to share.

I acknowledge that I am a western woman and bring the excitement of choices and

free will as well as my long history of studying the planets as archetypes with

me tomy practice of Vedic astrology. In this approach, the planets are not seen

as gods but as manifestations of energy and potential.

Just an introduction

Parasari taught not to use the true nodes, only mean nodes, for some reason.

Best wishes, Visti.

Dear Cynthia.

I would like to be quick to state that the referred website is dedicated to the

Systems Approach system of Astrology, and not neccesarily Traditional Parasari

Jyotish.

It may be important for questions on this list to be directed towards the system

one is curious about, as each system has their diversities.

Dear Sir

My question had nothing to do with vargas but about the assertion that

stationary planets are afflicted. Particularly the assertion that a birth

should be so planned to avoid them. It would seem almost impossible to avoid a

stationary Rahu or Ketu as their motion changes every few days. I have seen

great results for those with stationary planets as adults and wondered why it

is considered by the author to be so detrimental to a newborn.

Sincerely
