The Navamsa chart is not a progressed chart, its calculated from dividing each

sign into 9 pieces, and each of these pieces have a certain sign.. thus one can

pinpoint the position of each planet, in its navamsa.

 

This also applies to the many other divisional charts, and the brilliance of its

use is that it gives precission.. the Ascendant in the Rasi chart changes every

2 hours.. however the Navamsa Lagna changes every 15 minutes.. well the

Shastiamsa(d-60) changes every: 30/60=0,5 degrees => @ 2 minutes..

 

This can give very exact precision in timing events, and every divisional chart

has a certain them attributed to them.. I've attached an excerpt of an article

written by Narasimha Rao on the subject, it will tell you about each division.
