As far as jayalalitha's chart goes D9 shows the dharma that is due to a person. We see marriage from Navamsa only because the greatest dharma is marriage. However, jayalaitha's chart (if i recollect properly) is Ge lagna with jupiter in the 7th. This generates a powerful hamsa yoga.. but she is still unmarried. When we see a horoscope we need to see if there is a delay or denial of marrige. This itself can be seen from the strength of UL. Navamsa is only the next important step. If the UL and it;s lord if afflicted, then there is a denial of marriage. If the 2nd lord from UL is afflicted then the marriage will happen, but wont sustain for long. Try relating UL, AL and A7!. it is clear from Jayalalitha's horoscope about the status of UL.
