[Vedic Astrology] Bava Kundali - Two examples.

Jaya JannathaMr. Desai was born on June 14th, 1967 at 5:30

PM Bombay. He narrated his tragic story in the SJVC site msg # 16515.I

privately e-mailed to him about the bava chakara of his chart.His two marriages

ended in divorce. He lost $ 140,000 in the stockmarket.In rasi kundali his asc,

lord mars is in the laba house virgo - 11th.But in the bava kundali- the asc

lord mars is in the 12th house libra.Then kala purusha 7th house (in bava)

loaded with kethu and lagneshmars. all miseries happened to him since the mars

dasa started.

I did cast the chart of Mr. Desai. I do not use the bhava chakra for the following reasons.

1. Parasara in BPHS never mentioned calcluating the bhava chakra from the Lagna

degree, he instead talked of a concept called the Bhava Lagna. This is totally

differernt that the lagna degree in the natal chart.

2. You will also notice that in the Bhava chakra, it;s dimensions extend beyond

the limbs of Kalapurusha clearly meaning that the use of bhava chakra is Not

for prediective purposes what are limited by the kalapurusha itself.

Now, let;s come to Desai's chart. I follow parasara and Jaimini primarily and an

a little scekptical with other newer forms of variations to parasara like the

systems approach etc.. however this is purely my own personal opinion.

Parasara has clearly linked the 7th house to the 9t house for the simple reason

that for us, human beings, the highest form of dharma is marriage. Blessed is

the person whose dharma is shown by his wife. That is exactly why we see

Navamsa for a person's Dharma and marriage also. Going by Parasara, one cant

explain the unfortunate events in Mr. Desai's life with 9th house in Rasi

having exalted Jupiter and Kalatrakaraka, Venus who is also the 7th lord with

this exalted Jupiter. Plus the 9th lord moon is in the 10th house. Plus the

7th lord venus involved in a subhakarti yoga. Makes no sense!

You have mentioned mars dasa being the culprit. But this is not becaouse he is

lagna lord placed along with ketu in the 12th house. Mars just by being the

lagna and 6th lord has no connection to 7th house effects atleast at the

surface look at the chart, As mars is not connected to the 7th house, does not

aspect 7th house, does not aspect 7th lord venus and also does not also aspect

7th house from kalatrakaraka venus! Only in Navamsa mars aspects the 7th house,

but this alone cant give misfortunes

But still Mars gave miseries regarding marriage. i again fall back on the

teachings of the great sage parasara. He has clearly taught us about the

concept of the upa-pada for the effects of marriage and children. The 2nd house

from UL sustains marriage. In Mr. Desai's chart, UL falls in Capricorn. The 2nd

house from UL is Aq and it has two co-lords vix saturn and Rahu. Saturn is more

powerful here and is placed in the 3rd from UL!. not a good position to as the

3rd house we know is the house of life!. The sage parasara has also taught to

see misfortunes in marriage by seeing the affliction to the 2nd lord from UL.

Now, saturn is aspected by Mars from virgo and virgo has A7 and A9!!!!. Mars

aspecting 2nd house from UL or 2nd lord from UL always gives arugements with

the spouse. The bhadhakesh moon aspecting the UL and 2nd house from UL points

to clear obstructions with regard to marriage life.

Lastly one more clear pointer to misfortunes regarding marriage. Sthira karakas

are used for longevity estimation as Sthira karakas are ruled by Shiva. The

significations of the wife as per sthira karaka for men is venus and for women

it;s jupiter. If mars aspects or occupies 3rd from Venus (for men) and 3rd from

Jupiter (for women), it is fatal. In this case it;s very ture.

Dear Desai,

Thanks for the mail.

I don't know if you have read my last post about your chart where i had

suggested remedies for your problem. What you need to do is to fast on

Saturdays. This will help in a long way. The problem for your marriage are

many..... the main issue being the aspect of mars on the lord of UL that is

satrun. Mars always gives arguments. Venus and jupiter are in the 7th from UL

showing that women and people who are elders in the family etc will cause

problems in the marriage. Fasting on Saturdays for you will make sure that you

GIVE more in the relationship of marriage.

As far as Upapada (UL), AL and A7 are concerned you will get more info re. the

same in standard texts like Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra.

Dearset Hari:I've already sent you a reply via "Siva" regarding your analysis,

but now that I know the website, I'm personally thanking you for taking

interest in my chart.Hari, my problems continue. I just got married for the

third time to one of the nicest ladies from India. However, once more my

problems continue, we're already having arguments over a variety of subjects.

What I don't understand is that I very readily find a life partner, but no

matter how hard I try to make the marriage work, something happens that causes

the marriage to deteriorate and ultimately break. -- Factors and hindrances

that I've never anticipated before getting married.Now, getting to the point,

do you know of a remedy that'll make my marriage problems go away and let me

finally settle down and start a family?Also, how do I learn about upa-padas?

What is AL and UL, what is A7 and A9 that you mention in your mail. I've

browsed throug two astrology books for beginners and couldn't find any material
