In light of the earlier post of yours regarding the position of dasa lord Rahu (mean node) in your 8th house being more descriptive of this current period i.e. the dawning of your interest in jyotish...you might take a look at Varshaphala with Rahu's dispositor (conjunct Mercury) in 9th house... What you have used is Mean nodes and what Swami has used is True nodes. True positions are very accurate and precise and Mean positions are as the name signifies a bit of an average. The argument for true nodes is that they are the most accurate positioning of the nodes. But at times they are not retrogade. Since the nodes are supposed to be always retrogade, that becomes an argument against True nodes. Mean nodes are always retrogade. True positions of nodes became available with improvements in technology only in the last 2 or 3 decades. So another argument against true nodes is that Parashara could never have used them. But that is a non-argument because Parashara's access to the knowledge of Jyotisha was supra-intellectual and supra-technical. I use True nodes. regards, Venkat.
