Guest guest
Wendy ji, Your posting on religion and astrology is brilliant! My grandfather often tells me that if I get too deep into Jyotish, I will forget religion, but I have always told him that my discovery of religion is getting enhanced by Jyotish, not diminished. It is nice to know people like you, who can still see the unity in diversity - and more importantly, the diversity in the unity. BTW, one small question - what do you think of the definition of the drekkanas? For example, the 1st drekkan of Simha is about sandlewood trees, vultures, etc. I heard it is usually used for Prashna, etc. What other uses exist, in standard Parasara analysis of charts (I mean, non-Prashna)? The definitions as they apply to Prasna may also be applicable to transits - in the context of answering specific question (for that period). Although, if I'm not mistaken, the questions related to prasna are quite specific i.e., where is my lost ring, will this person return safely etc, etc.. But once again, the answer to these questions should also be available by reading the transits as they apply to the current dasas...
