Guest guest
Dear Balaji, I read your article and the proposed date of Apr 3 for Christ's death is interesting considering that the Holy Father passed (according to my time) at 3.37am, Sunday Apr 3. On this day (the second Sunday of Easter), at the hour of 3.00 O'clock, the Church celebrates the sacrament of "Divine Mercy". This sacrament was dear to the heart of the Pope who was its greatest proponent. That he should pass, not only on this day (my time here) but during the "Hour of Mercy" itself, is incredible... The Church teaches that Christ died on the cross during this hour and not even his great suffering could stem the flow of his Mercy. He implored God the Father to forgive those who'd crucified him and, when the criminal beside him asked that he remember him, he said "Amen, I tell you, on this day you will be with me in paradise". Whenever the clock strikes the 3rd hour (day or night) the faithful pray the chaplet (rosary) of divine mercy, confident that their prayers (petitions) will be answered. So, it's a special hour and a special day that the Pope left this world. With such symbolism none can doubt that he too has joined Christ in paradise. Today at 3 o'clock the atmosphere in my little local church was peaceful beyond words...no sadness, no tears, just a still, quiet, abiding peace that I think will stay with all that were there for a long, long time. Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___________________ Wendy ji, <<< I haven't even been able to overcome the first hurdle which is figuring out how to enter a BC date in my jyotish software??? >>> I have an ancient DOS software called PC Jyotish, which supports dates from 1500 BC to 2200 AD. You could download it and try, just enter "pcjyotish.zip" in google, it will lead you to the location. In fact, I used PC Jyotish to once look into the issue of Christ's crucifixion and the eclipse. Shows that he was really dear to God! My grandpa told me that, dying on an Ekadasi, and getting cremated on a Dwadasi is good, especially in Sukla Paksham, Utttarayanam, for Hindus. <<< So, it's a special hour and a special day that the Pope left this world. To me, no pleasure is greater than a man of God reaching God! ~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection ~~~~~~~ ______________________ Messenger - Communicate instantly..."Ping" your friends today!
