Guest guest
Hi Juliana, Those a are good questions, to which I do not have an answer, but still on about eclipses, not that ti has to do with being born on an eclipse, but last year, when the moon eclipse took place, I had rahu on my 4th house and ketu on my 10th and even though I did not have to move then at the time of the eclipse, the promise or curse of the eclipse DID HAPPEN later both affecting both my career and house, In had to move out from where I was living and my job location also moved to a diferent location, so the eclipse came into fruition. I know this does not answer your questions, but anyway... --- Juliana Swanson <omhamsa wrote: > Dear Mrs. Wendy and List Members, > > Will you please answer three questions for me when > you > have a free moment? > > First, how much time before or after an eclipse > would > you consider the event to have an affect on the > birth > of a native? Guest guest
Dear Juliana, The sages describe the results due to being born DURING an eclipse and give the remedies for same; such as in Parashara (Vol 11, Ch.91): Remedies for Birth in Eclipses 1-14. The Sage said. O Brahmin! A person, whose birth takes place at the time of solar, or lunar eclipse, suffers from ailments, distress and poverty and faces danger of death. Therefore I am going to describe for the benefit of the mankind the remedial measures, required to be undertaken to nullify the above evil effects. I can find no mention of effects for the time leading up to an eclipse (or following) that actually refer to it being an eclipse. To my mind when an eclipse is over, it's over! I think we're looking at several different avasthas here. 1) Decreasing Moon, 2) Eclipse, 3) Increasing Moon, 4) influence of Nodes etc.. I invite the comments of other members on this. As for the planets in 12th, 7th, 6th or 8th (in that order, if none occupy 12th then look to 7th and so forth): We have to remember that every horoscope is unique and the guidelines given by the sages are just that - guidelines! Just as Kundalika got her feathers ruffled by mention of GU/KE conjunction and many people likewise get upset over mention of GU/RA conjunction (Guru - Chandala Yoga), so people are naturally disturbed by the mention of planetary positions indicating state after death. It's important to always remember that every horoscope is unique and many things must be considered...aspects, conjunction, dispositor, dignity and so forth. BTW exalted Mars in 12th indicates that the native may be reborn into an exalted position...it doesn't indicate hell as you say. You have to look at the whole story as told in the horoscope. As an example, I have the chart of a native with neutral Mars in 12th whilst 12th lord conjuncts Sun in 11th. According to the sages Mars indicates an ordinary rebirth with the worrisome possibility of time spent in hell (or purgatory) due to 12th lord's conjunction with Sun. Looking further we see that Mars owns 2nd house of family and 7th house of spouse and there can be no doubt that this person, having caused great suffering to two families, has created a lot of bad karma. But jyotish gives us remedies for every situation and always there's an opportunity to make restitution and improve the outcome, if we're so inclined. The very best remedy for everyone is to lead a religious life...whatever our religion might be, or, failing that, to make restitution to those who's lives have been shattered...a sincere act of penance in this life whilst one is still able to do so! Not to get on a religious platform but we should think about these words which are found in the Bible (and I'm sure are reflected in all religious treatises); "leave there thy gift before the altar, and first go, be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." In other words, make restitution for any wrong that may have been done... Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___________________ Dear Mrs. Wendy and List Members, Will you please answer three questions for me when you have a free moment? First, how much time before or after an eclipse would you consider the event to have an affect on the birth of a native? I have heard that after several hours time, it is no longer affective. Do you have an idea on this please? In this same vein, is there a "cookbook description" that you have for the affect of being born within a certain amount of time before or after an eclipse, or is it more related to standard formulae for interpretation? Regarding what you shared with us from "Parashara in Chapter.44:43-45. ASCENT AFTER DEATH: According to the following planets in the 12th, 7th, 6th, or the 8th, the native will attain such worlds after death: Jupiter - heaven, the Moon or Venus - the world of Manes, Mars/Sun -earth (i.e. rebirth), Mercury/Saturn - hell. Should the said houses be not occupied, the native will go to the world as indicated by stronger of the decanate lords related to the 6th and the 8th. The relative planet's exaltation etc. will denote the high, medium, and low status the native will obtain in the said world." Would you interpret EXALTED Saturn and/or EXALTED Mars in the 12th to lead to hell after death, too? Thank you so much, Juliana
Guest guest
Dear Wendy, "Feathers ruffled"! You just gave me a funny end to what has been a spectacularly successful day (yes the stellium in Pisces has worked wonders for me). No I am not irked at all, especially since no one knows my chart as well as I do. Take care. Rgds., K.
