Jupiter when malefic

Hi Dear Rui,

I don't know Systems Approach at all, so cannot comment on it. Are you using the

time of 18:30 still for your birth time?

Can you share for learning here, your own experiences with this Jupiter? Even

without considering Systems Approach (S.A.), it's best to judge the planets and

chart fully from both the ascendant sign and also from the Moon for a more

complete vision of your chart and planets.

With these different results from these two perspectives, we might say that you

have many positive influences from Jupiter in particular for things that are

expressed by the 1H, such as body, health, how well you withstand illness or

disease (along with considering the 6H and your lagna lord), your appearance,

etc..

Moon rules emotions, total mind, nuturing, etc.. Even this you have the Moon and

Jupiter in a 5/9 relationship with one another, and in 5H from Moon... really

repeating much of what is said from lagna. It's beneficial for you that Jupiter

is in 9H in lagna and 5H in Chandra lagna.

Separately from S.A., Moon chart is considered as well due to Moon's valuable

and all important role in Jyotish. "A strong mind can override many of life's

difficulties..."

All planets as well as houses are in 8H from something and have to be considered

holistically and with respect for what we're examining in the chart.

It would be interesting to hear what more learned members say - and also your

own experiences considering this Jupiter.

Best wishes,

Patrice

Dear friends,

According to Choudhry Systems Approach, my Jupiter is

malefic because:

-it rules its mooltrikona sign in the 12th house from

my ascendant Capricorn;

-it rules the 8th house from my moon.

However, also from the moon and ascendant, this planet

is placed in the best houses: 9th and 5th...

Since I feel a bit incompetent to judge a chart like

this, I would welcome your comments, as I know you are

much more experienced astrologers than myself.

Thanks, Rui.

Dear Rui, Wendy and List,

Just want to add that from both your lagna and Chandra lagna, Jupiter would be

considered a functional neutral due to moolatrikona sign ruling 12H in lagna,

and 8H in chandra lagna. Both of these houses being dusthanas however contribute

their own effects onto this, I believe. Also considered as well spiritually for

you with both houses Moksha houses and Jupiter in 9H and 5H respectively..

You have no planets in this Saggitarius. Wendy and others, is it more important

considering this aspect of dusthanas to look at planets actually in the houses,

versus owning them? Would Jupiter offer some of these results as well? If so,

this being Jupiter, even then would this bring easier growth versus if this were

a malefic planet owning a dusthana?

Best wishes,

Patrice

Hi Patrice,

My birth data is 09 july 1969 at 18:30 in Luanda.

I analyzed my dashas and the planet that seems to be

quite bad for me is the moon, I suffered a lot during

my moon dasha due to my parents and family life, then

as soon as I start my mars dasha in 1984 or 85

everything gets better...

Thanks for your reply and I am looking forward to more

comments.

Regards, Rui.

Dear Rui and List,

Thanks Rui for your response and regarding your Moon. We have talked about your

Moon before and it's position by degrees making it 'sandhi'. I have seen

difficulties in other charts as well with planets in deep sandhi degree. There

is also a clear subtle connection in your chart with the Moon and nodes.

Just taking what we have with the 18:30 for purposes of learning - for me, no

planets are in Moon's nakshatras. This again confirming some lack of strength

for Moon in your chart. Moon rules 7 house, makara house, and becomes a

functional malefic (according to what Wendy wrote in answer to my earlier

questions on waxing and waning Moon and functional nature).

Then in Navamsa, vargottam lagna Capricorn, with Moon in enemies 1H. In this

chart again the vargottam placement of Cancer in maraka 7H, and again Moon

functional malefic, this time closely conjoined Ketu.

Regardless of this exact time of 18:30, any time anywhere near it within hours,

Moon is sublord of Rahu. Interestingly, there is a parivartana at this subtle

level with Rahu, as sub lord of Moon, which also doesn't change until 19:43.

Also the nodes close to Moon by degrees, with Ketu (conjoined Jupiter) in an

almost EXACT trine to this Moon, which reflects in the Navamsa.

In KP chart Moon moves to your 4H and conjoins Saturn, and Rahu to your 2H. Does

this speak to your experiences where you mention the Moon's periods difficult

for parents and family?

Regarding my earlier question on Dusthanas, Komilla Sutton writes:

"The normal behaviour of planets placed in these houses is spoilt as is their

strength over the houses they rule. Planets placed here usually indicate

problems on a material level which are telling you to redirect your energy to a

higher sphere. The ruler of the sixth house can cause injury and disease. The

ruler of the eighth house destroys the significations of the house where it is

placed. The ruler of the twelfth house causes loss of some kind."

Best wishes,

Patrice
