Guest guest
Dear Pranasoup(?), There is another way of looking at this :-) If an astute astrologer were to see the negative karma BEFORE it arose and the correct remedy (yagya etc) were given, at the appropriate time, the negative karma may have been averted (or the intensity reduced) before it manifested. Prevention is the key! For instance, if a careless man (not looking where he was going) was about to step into a deep well (or whatever) and someone, seeing this was about to happen, had time to quickly place a cover over the well, the accident could be prevented. This is how jyotisha's should approach remedial measures...by being alert to the danger ahead. Of course this requires great experience (great insight) on the part of the jyotisha. I also believe that remedial measures, whether they be astrological or medical, should be applied in conjunction with the horoscope by all medical practitioners...if every doctor could read a horoscope the (alarming) level of misdiagnosis would be reduced dramatically. I speak from experience here having been a member of the medical profession (a nurse) and also as a patient who was misdiagnosed for 20 years...Ketu in lagna with dispositor (Sani) in 6th house of disease...difficult to diagnose health problems. The evidence for kidney problem was there in abundance for all those years...chronic pain, chronic urinary tract infection, for which the (wrong) treatment of anti-biotics was given for most of those 20 yrs.. It went undiagnosed for so long that the staghorn calculus grew (almost) as big as the kidney itself. It was surgically removed (eventually) and recently found that what was thought to be a remaining part of the calculus is in fact part of the kidney itself that has calcified (fossilised) and that of course can never be removed. Could this have been prevented...I believe so! Had I felt comfortable in presenting my chart to the doctor, the correct intervention may have happened sooner..before damage was done to the kidney itself. Remedial measures are a part of jyotish - as they are a part of life. We have to get away from the notion that all negative karma must be endured without question. If we were to rigidly apply this no one would ever receive any intervention at all for their suffering. Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com _____________________________ "The unborn Lord has many incarnations.
