Guest guest
Namaste I have enjoyed reading the discussion in this group. This is my first post and I am sorry to say that this is a request for assistance rather than a sharing of knowlege as I'm a beginner to Jyotish. I would really like to understand more about my chart, and in particular the configuration of Venus & Mars. The birth details are: 08/15/1978 7:36AM EDT; Lat 40 48 N, Long 74 29 W >From what I gathered, in this chart Mars are Venus are in a "planetary war" in which Venus is the "winner" & therefor Mars ability to influence is weakened and Venus's ability to influence is stronger. Is that correct? And is it therefor benefitial for Venus to be in that type of position or is Venus stronger when not involved in any "planetary war". And is Mars benefited at all by its association with Venus -- Venus being a natural benefic? What is the overall implication of this configuration? I was prompted to look at my chart because I have an opportunity to start a different job and I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I should or not. I'd thought I'd take a look at it in the light of Jyotish. But with my level of understanding, I am really not in a position to use Jyotish to help make decisions. So I'd like to understand more & maybe Jyotish will be of help in the future. Take it easy, Sean
Guest guest
planetary wars are never good all nine planets are required to enjoy every taste of life a loosing planet becomes very melific and mahadasha of a looser planets generally take a heavy tool - Sean Patrick Kelly<toosean jyotish-vidya<jyotish-vidya> Saturday, June 04, 2005 3:03 PM Venus & Mars w/in 1 degree of eachother Namaste I have enjoyed reading the discussion in this group. Guest guest
Namaste Jiger, thank you for your reply. It makes sense that planetary "wars" would not be a good thing. However, I did not know that a "losing" planet would become "very malefic." I could understand that the power/influence of the losing planet would be weakened, but I did not think it would necessarily cause the planet to act malefic. From the experience of this group is it always the case that a losing planet will act malefic? Regarding the dasha of the losing planet Mars: For or a Leo lagna Mars owns auspicious houses. So I had thought Mars Mahadasha would be a decent time period even though Mars loses out in the planetary war to Venus. Any more input would be much appreciated -- especially regarding how much weight is to be given to the planetary war situation versus other considerations (like house ownership & placement). Guest guest
not necessarily that looser planet will be melific but it is the moste likely outcome astrology does not have black and white rules it is all grey area each situation is unique there is something called transfer of rays a loosing planet transfers its rays to winner so dashas of looser planet is never fruit full - Sean Patrick Kelly<toosean jyotish-vidya<jyotish-vidya> Monday, June 06, 2005 6:46 PM Re: Venus & Mars w/in 1 degree of eachother Namaste Jiger, thank you for your reply.
