Guest guest
I'm new to this type of astrology, (I stopped studying Tropical astrology about 15 years ago) and I've been running a lot of charts lately trying to get a feel for it. A chart of a co-worker has Sun conjunct Ketu with a 4 degree orb. Anyone want to explain what this usually indicates? >From what I noticed, he has a very big ego. I always blamed it on the Sun in Leo (in the 4th, with Ketu) as the culprit. But there's a little more to him then meets the eye. He has a more personal, behind the scenes type job creating dark/morbid charcoal pencil drawings that he makes quite a bit of money off of, but for some reason still doesn't want to quit his regular job. The drawings seem a little odd for his "sunny" personality that seems to lighten up everyone's day. He's actually quite a spiritual person, but with his constant jokes and talking you would never know it. Would that be a good example of Ketu conjunct Sun? -Crystal
Guest guest
Hi, Mr.Crystal, If I have understood your question about your friend, his sun sign is leo(and is 4th) and is associated with ketu. The 4 deg orb you mentioned indicate that the sun has attained constellation of Magha, lord is ketu. Both being fiery in nature(sun in Magha) have a drive, ambition and basically traditional in nature.Such people have a divine restlesness and some times take up fierce activities.Sensual types also get some satisfaction by indulging in :creating dark/morbid charcoal pencil drawings that he makes quite a bit of money off This kind of activity can be attributed not only to the drive to get that 'extra" material prosperity as they are motivated for wealth(artha). As far as conjunct nature of ketu as ketu is associated with sun we need to understand also ketu's longitude. is it that your friend is a taurus ascendent with sun in 4th i.e in leo sign? I have a chart for him whose sun is in 8th(cancer sign) with 7 degrees orb with sagittarus sign rising with ketu nakshtra. This prasna chart for my intepretation used for analysing the personality of your friend,No doubt he has a weak moon.Tempormentally he looks cool and cuts jokes due to his moon's influence. Not surprising if his talk has a double meaning. krishnan crystal97900 <crystal97900 wrote: I'm new to this type of astrology, (I stopped studying Tropical astrology about 15 years ago) and I've been running a lot of charts lately trying to get a feel for it. Guest guest
Namaste, Sun is the 4th Lord in the 4th house (mind and emotions). Both are under the influence of the nodal axis and that will be an important contributing factor to his dark morbid drawings. You must also check the status of Venus and Moon. The influences on the 10th house and 10 Lord along with the 7th house (10th from 10th) and 7th Lord will give a better idea as to why he wants to continue with a regular job. Sun indicates the soul, and ketu the significator of self-realisation in close association can produce spiritual people. But one has to be careful in interpreting this. The conjunction of Sun and ketu if under malefic influences can produce the opposite types, like megalomaniacs and those who are under the influence of darker forces. It is also important to understand in which Nakshatra this takes place and also in which type of house (quadrant as in this case) and also if the conjunction is in a spirtual sign (as in the case of Aquarius). One must also check whether the house is cardinal, fixed or mutable. Mutable being the best to indicate spirituality. regards arun
Guest guest
Hello Arun, The point of interst could be his involvement with morbid drwings but not to fond reasons with regular jobs. In any case it is beyond doubt the malefic planets are energising him in to this activity. Since this is also a kind of fine art involvement of venus can not be denied. How ever the moons affliction is also evident.According to me he must have been associated with saturn in an airy sign like Aquarius.I agree there fore to the involvement of "Venus and Moon." May be navamsa too is important from the pont of view 10th house.is it 7th house involvementyou have suggested as it is 10th to 10th? Any further delineation can be meaningful if only we knew his planetary positions correctly or we have his data relating to birth. regards krishnan arun <savitarcyber wrote: Namaste, Sun is the 4th Lord in the 4th house (mind and emotions). Guest guest
Namaste Krishnan Yes, without doubt the navamsa is important and if we get the birth details a much clearer picture will emerge. regards arun
