Guest guest
Dear List, If I am permitted to add a point over here, one of the medicinal qualities of honey is that it acts as an effective contraceptive in females. Guest guest
Dear Krishnan, Juliana and All, I just checked my spice shelf and don't seem to have any Vata churna on hand at the moment but I do recall a main ingredient was turmeric...I might just try the turmeric on its own for the time being until I can replace the churna. Having been a disciple of (pure) Ayurvedic cooking for many years (although not so strict the last few years I'm afraid) I still use these spices regularly... Regarding the conjunction of Jupiter/Ketu, I'm sure everyone has stories to tell about the effect it's had on their lives...different for all lagnas, no doubt. Certainly the transit of 3rd lord Jupiter (gripped by Ketu) has had a marked effect on dasa lord Mercury, making it difficult to define the specific problems I've been experiencing with communications, and therefore difficult to fix them. But of course that's a minor annoyance and will sort itself out in due course. Another effect has been in relation to Jupiter's 12th lordship which has seen me withdraw from (worldly) activity and seek solitude in religious studies, prayer and so forth...JU/KE transiting 9th lord Mercury in 9th. Back to Jupiter's lordship of 3rd (younger sibling) my younger twin has been very ill in hospital for the last four weeks and last week her Son (my nephew) died with a major heart attack - he was only 34yrs old. A couple of weeks ago my own Son crashed on his motor bike and broke his collar bone in two places (Jupiter, significator of children), then last week my husband quit his job - natal Jupiter occupies 7th in my chart (in nakshatra of dasa lord Mercury). However, although I witness all these things going on around me, I'm relatively undisturbed...still feeling that the strongest influence on me personally is the desire for solitude and prayer. Sometimes it's good to stand back from all that's happening around us and just watch it unfold - sometimes this is ALL we can do :-)) ALL IS AS IT SHOULD BE.... Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "vattem krishnan" <bursar_99 <jyotish-vidya> Tuesday, August 09, 2005 1:16 AM Re: Re: taking honey as first thing in morning Dear Mrs Wendy, I am perfectly in tune with you on the subject and in fact it is a very good in put for me.For getting good sleep and to contain vata we have another suggestion: In a cup of boiled milk add a spoon of turmeric powder(it is yellow in colour used for Cooking also) and drink this milk.It removes Vata and gives a refreshing sleep also. Planets do cause unwarrentd hinderances and it is not that we seek for them but have to bear them. In my 10th Jupiter and Ketu having been making me to strech my abilities beyond a level.may be the desire of the Destiny and I am just obeying to the circumstances. Great Celestial dramas and wonderful experiences krishnan wish you all best krishnan P.S:it is pretty long time you could find time to share your views with the Group.may be need to thank Honey and ofcourse one of our member:Angel? Guest guest
Traditionally it is used. But do not ask me how to use and further questions. This is not the place to discuss further about this topic. C.S.
