Wendy ji - your son

Wendy ji,

I was caught up with some urgent work at the office, so I

couldn't respond earlier.

<<<I think I've got a better chance of winning the lottery than

of convincing Dave to listen to the Navagraha stotram :-)>>>

Well, the possibility seems slim, but to quote one ad I saw

recently - "Give me hope, it is free" - we must keep in mind the

fact that he will start Kuja Dasa in March 2006 - lord of 12 in

12, conjunct Moksha Karaka Ketu and aspected by Vairagya Karaka

Sani. So, hope, though minimal, cannot be said to be completely

absent!

You have mentioned presence of 9th lord Neecha in the 11th.

However, we also have to consider 5th because it is the 9th from

9th - and this house's lord is not badly placed.

<<<A word here regarding Saturn and religion, if I may. It's

perfectly understandable that, with Sani's moolatrikona falling

in 9th, you would associate him (first and foremost) with

religion. But this is not necessarily so for everyone!>>>

As my 9th lord, Sani will strive to lead me to moksha,

especially since it is in the 12th and forms Parivartana Yoga

with its dispositor. However, even generally, he might give some

impetus since he is the natural karaka for renunciation.

<<<He is strong-willed and strongly opinionated that it's one's

own initiative, or lack of it, that determines one's destiny. To

David, 'Destiny' (astrology) is a load of rubbish!>>>

Yes, the strong 3rd house of initiatives certainly speaks

volumes in his case! However, since 3rd also deals with

initiation into spiritual practices, again, I would not want to

completely rule out religious avenues.

BTW, it is nice to know that his recovery is progressing well.

Wish him luck, and I hope that he is out of hospital soon.

There are still some points on the list - please consider them

at your leisure.

This experience is quite enlightening - we are considering your

son walking on a thin, dividing line, and one knows not what

will happen. I do agree with your analysis, it is rock solid -

however, I still believe that something good is possible. Points

to support my argument are admittedly slim, but they do exist.
