Guest guest
hello everyone i am a new member on the group. i am an astrology novice 4m bombay. i would like someone to explain how the navamsa chart is to be interpreted. more specifically, i find that in my navamsa chart all the planets (relative to lagna) fall in the "kendras" (1,4 & 7). (although if mean nodes instead of true nodes r used rahu and ketu no longer stay in the "kendras" of the navamsa). do the angular houses hv the same significance in div charts as in the natal? does dig bal apply to the divs? some astrologers opine that dig bal, etc cannot be applied to the divs simply because the planets r not physically present in those empowering locations. i would like some help, references to articles, the classic texts, etc would do. regards geoffrey
Guest guest
Dear Geoffrey, You Wrote: //do the angular houses hv the same significance in div charts as in the natal?// The position and strength of planets in divisional charts is as important as their position in rasi. Although they (divisionals) cannot stand alone (are read in conjunction with rasi), I'm also of the opinion that, what applies to rasi, applies equally to the divisionals. One example perhaps may be neecha-bhanga yoga. We know that a planet exalted in rasi is weakened if debilitated in navamsha. However, if neecha-bhanga is present in navamsha we see a more positive result. There are many references in the classics that support yogas in divisional charts. Perhaps other members may be able to lay their hands on some specific references?
