Guest guest
Hari Om, Can someone help me with my understanding of argala according to Sage Parasara? In chapter 31:2-9 Parasara explains that| "Grahas in the 4th, 2nd, and the 11th (from a bhava or a graha) cause Argalas, while obstructors of the Argala will be those in the 10th, 12th, and 3rd from a bhava or a graha." I use JHora to construct charts, in this program obstructors are identified as virodhargala. My first question. Why is the 9th [from a bhava or graha] included among the virodhargala? My second question. Can someone demonstrate the effects of argala and virodhargala upon each other using my ascendant as the point of reference? Any help would be greatly appreciated. dhanyavAdAH. Namaste, olusanya
Guest guest
Dear Mr. Olusanya, Planets/house in the ninth from the planet/house in consideration offers obstruction to argala from the planet/house in fifth. Argala from Fifth is the secondary argala on the planet/house in question. In your chart Venus have Shubh argala on tenth (being second from tenth). This means desire/ambition (which is the basic ingredient for success in career) of a high profile career have a positive effect on your career and that keeps you going. As theer is no planet in twelfth from tenth (i.e ninth) this Shubh-argala goes unobstructed. Similary Exalted Mercry & Mars have Shubh & paap argala respectively on tenth house. That means that intelligent efforts from you have positive impact on your career but being reckless at times proves to be detrimental. Hope the more learned members can present their opinions.
