Guest guest
Dear Mrs Wendy, Is it possible to edit my record? I forgot to leave my date of birth, etc. And maybe in the future I would like to update the data, but I cannot see any link to edit or delete already stored data... Thanks, Rui. Guest guest
Dear Rui, If you scroll across to the far right of the page you should see the link to edit your data. Please let me know if you have a problem with this and I'll see if I can rectify it :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "RPM" <rupamede <jyotish-vidya> Monday, February 13, 2006 6:50 PM Astro Data Bank - is it possible to edit a record? Guest guest
Dear Wendy, I do not see an edit button on the far right side of my computer as you have advised Rui. Nor to I see a delete button or a button to expand the window line one is putting information into. Thanks, Uttara :-) jyotish-vidya, "Wendy Vasicek" <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Rui, > > If you scroll across to the far right of the page you should see the > link to edit your data. Guest guest
Dear Uttara, Okay, this is how it works. There are seven columns in total; 1) Name & Birth Data 2) Original & created family 3) Education, Occupation etc.. 4) Marriage/Divorce 5) Major changes/Incidents 6) Health 7) Actions In the "Actions" column you will see Edit Delete beside each entry. Click on Edit and you can edit your entry. I can see no reason why you can't access this column. I've okay'd everything I need to (I think?). Could you please try again and let me know if you can access it now or not. Guest guest
Hi Wendy, I have seven columns. They are as follows - In order: > 1) Name & Birth Data > 2) Original & created family > 3) Education, Occupation etc.. > 4) Marriage/Divorce > 5) Major changes/Incidents > 6) Health > 7) Travel (Residency Abroad) Unfortunately, I do not have a column for Actions nor after I closely checked, is there an area in the seventh column to edit any entries. What I do have when I click on any of the column's titles is an Arrow the pops up to either scroll the list up or down. Also the database that shows on my screen with its columns is framed - like one would see on a front cover document for presentation. I use the current Microsoft Professsional XP on a pentium computer along with the latest version and current updates for . If that helps any. Uttara :-) p.s. my database screen is showing the seven listed charts with their travel information in the seventh column jyotish-vidya, "Wendy Vasicek" <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Uttara, > > Okay, this is how it works. Guest guest
Dear Uttara, Oh! yes, I left out the column for travel...sorry! But that should then make eight columns. Darn this, I'm going to have to check the settings again. I thought I'd checked everything to allow members complete access? I'll have to get back to you on this :-( Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ______________________________ - "muttaraphalguni" <muttaraphalguni <jyotish-vidya> Tuesday, February 14, 2006 1:32 PM Re: Astro Data Bank - is it possible to edit a record? Guest guest
Dear Uttara, Rui and All, I've corrected the problem (I hope). I had to as a new member so I could see what you see...not as a moderator! And you're right, the column to edit your data was not there. However, I've made the necessary changes and you should be able to access that feature now. Guest guest
Hi Wendy, I just read your message and went over to the database section. Oh Cool!! It's there just like you wanted it to be orginally. Yea! Thanks for all our efforts. Since it's late here. I need to get some sleep before I have to be up in 31/2 hours - I will add my birth data and add the rest later this afternoon or evening. Then too, I will start to add other charts for group study. Smiles, Uttara:-) jyotish-vidya, "Wendy Vasicek" <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Uttara, Rui and All, > > I've corrected the problem (I hope).
