Dear List members, Namaskar,

According to Sanjay Rath, for the purposes of calculation of the Hora

Lagna (and presumably other special lagnas and upagrahas), Sunrise is to

be defined as first light, i.e, the time at which the tip of the

sun appears to be on the horizon. [Ref Sanjayji's article on the HL

presented at the London conference -

In Jagannatha Hora, however, the default definition of sunrise is

"The centre of the Sun's disk is truly on the Eastern

horizon"...

Could anyone tell me which of these two is recommended?
