Dear list, Namaskar,

I am not experienced in these matters, but I thought I'd contribute, if

only to invite some useful criticism. I'm looking at Tony Blair's

chart - the current PM.

(Incidentally, I've come across a bug in JH when viewing this chart -

when I choose "When will lagna change sign in Rasi", I get an

absurd figure - can anyone reproduce this?)

Looking at his D-10 Narayana Dasa, it is immediately obvious that Virgo

Mahadasa will end soon after the elections. This dasa carried him

right through the second term in office.

Now the next Mahadasa is Capricorn. Treating this as temporary

Lagna, we have 10th lord Venus in the 6th - indicating service. The

temporary AL is Pisces with Gaj-kesari yoga - which is a good

thing. However Jupiter is (temporary) bhadakesh so I guess he would

have difficulty in maintaining his public standing. I notice also

that Moon/Jupiter are subject to Papakartari yoga. The Moon is also

afflicted in the Rasi chart. Mars is in Aries in the 4th

house.

Given all this my thinking is that Tony will remain in politics. As

for Prime ministership... not sure. Looking at Vimsottari:

Mahadasa is Saturn (6th from Sun - service), which continues for a long

while yet. Antar is Venus (3rd from Moon - fighting to

defend/uphold his beliefs - this has been pronounced since the Iraq

war). Pratyantar is where it gets interesting. He has just

started Moon pratyantar. The Moon is afflicted by Rahu and aspected

by Mars in Rasi chart. It is in the 8th house. The 8th house

is the 11th from the 10th - the house dealing with formal retirement from

work. While this could indicate a fall from prime

ministership I still don't think it's the end of his political

career.

Finally a look at the TP for this year. I haven't used the D-10

because I'm not sure about the birth time - I'll need to spend some time

on that (unless someone else has already?). Varesh for the TP is

Mars - who's in 12th in the Rasi chart joined 10th lord Jupiter. TP

lagna is also Taurus, which is 12th from Natal lagna. Lagna lord

Venus joins Mars (12th lord) and bhadakesh Saturn in the 2nd house of

speech (once again, he's been trying to make his point all year, and

nobody's listening). This also joins the A10. Hora lord is Moon

(3rd lord) placed in Bhadakasthana - again he has to keep fighting.

This theme will dominate. Given that it's in bhadakasthana, I don't

know if he's going to win.

What's interesting here is that using Tithi Ashtottari Dasa, the Dasa of

Jupiter will run through the elections. Jupiter is in the 4th in

the TP chart. But 4th lord Sun is in Marana Karaka Sthana. So

it doesn't bode well. Moreover the dasa of Rahu (who is afflicting

the Sun) is to follow.

Having said all that I've been careful not to predict the course of

things - simply because I'm not confident there's enough here to warrant

it. My observations are necessarily incomplete, and quite possibly

flawed.

I'd nevertheless appreciate any comments/thoughts on the matter. It

would help everyone's learning I feel.

With reverence to the Gurus,

Samir

Dear Sateesh, Namaskar

I am looking at two charts, one being the 1802 date for the first UK

Parliament, and am back-tracking the past elections of the UK. But i

don't really trust the times given to be acurate, and thats been biting

at me whilst looking at the charts.

The method i use is to analyze the Tithi Pravesha of the election year,

of the given chart, and based on the strengths of the tenth and third

houses i decide whether the current party (tenth) or their opposition

(third) will win.

Sanjayji taught this same technique and it works well.

When i can verify some more past events with these charts, i will say

some more.

Best wishes,
