The aspect of signs - Shlokas from BPHS

Below is an extract from BPHS Chapter 9 (Sharma edition). I suspect

it may not show up properly because of font issues - these are the first

two shlokas:

atha me?adirasina? caradina?

d???ibheda? pravak?yami sr??u tva? ddhijasattam |1|

rasayo'bhimukha? vipra tatha pasyanti parsrvabhe |

yatha cara? sthiraneva? sthira? pasyati vai caran |2|

 

The translation reads something like:

Now I speak separately about the aspects of the signs like Aries and the

movable etc. signs. The signs aspect the signs opposite them and to

both sides of them…

Then it goes on to describe the Movable – Fixed, Fixed – Movable and Dual

– Dual aspects.

 

But what interests me is the first bit: The signs aspect the

signs opposite them and to both sides of them…

 

Now, if this translation is correct (my Sanskrit isn’t up to scratch

yet), then what to these aspects mean? I don’t remember hearing

about them elsewhere.
