Guest guest
|| Om Krsna Guru || Dear list, Namaskar I've a somewhat elementary question regarding the trines in the D9. I remember reading somewhere in the archives a post by Vistiji explaining that the 5th house shows abilities that we have developed in previous lives, whilst the 9th shows abilities that we will develop in this life - I think. But I can't seem to find that message. Could someone kindly confirm that this is correct? It then leads us to the question of the nature of the abilities seen from the Lagnamsa. Could it be then that these are a direct blessing of Narayana? Thank you, Samir

Guest guest
|| Om Krsna Guru || Dear Sweeji, Namaskar I agree with you. But I'm pretty sure there is a difference between the nature of the abilities shown in the 5th house and those shown in the 9th. Admittedly they both give abilities that we might use equally, but their "source" is different. Having had some time to ponder it, I think perhaps the 9th house shows the abilities that we have through the efforts of our ancestors, while the abilities shown in the 5th are those that we have through our own efforts (in previous lives). This is what I want to verify. Best wishes, Samir , "Swee Chan" <swee@c...> wrote: > Jaya Jagannatha > > Dear Samir, > > I would consider both the 5th or 9th to give abilities from the past. Guest guest
|| Om Krsna Guru || Dear Suryaviswanadham, Namaskar I had asked the same question in my first message on this thread. But nobody has given any suggestions. From the hints I have gathered, this is the conclusion I have arrived at. I would be most happy to have it corrected: - The first house shows abilities that we have as a result of the blessing of Narayana (or some specific form of the same). We did not work to achieve these skills in previous lives. - The abilities shown in the 5th are those that we worked towards in previous lives. So for example, if someone has Mars and Jupiter in the 5th in Navamsa, it suggests that they spent a lot of time learning astrology in their previous life, for example. And the fruits of that will manifest in this life – with the person being a gifted astrologer. - The abilities shown in the 9th house are those that some from the efforts of our ancestors. So for example, if my ancestors were part of a lineage involved strongly with astrology, I would get my astrological ability from the 9th house. So in the end they all show abilities, but the nature of each is significantly different. I welcome any comments. Guest guest
Dear Jyotisha Namaskar, Trines in Navamsa are abilities we were born with. Trines to AK tell us about what we as soul want to increase as our ability. Lagna is also Kona so also has important things to say about our ability. Lagna tell us about dharma. 5H is ability we have from our previous birth, while 9H is ability which has to be improved with the help of elders. This is what I was taught. with regards, Rafal
Guest guest
Om Gam Dear Samir, I do not remember that message, but what you say is correct. I remember also that 5th indicates ASC of last birth and 9th that for the next one. In another way, 1st shows the signal to be processed (the song chosen to be played) and 5th shows the filter selected (Bass/Treble) and the mood of the song while 9th shows the gain (Volume Control) settings. 9th shows genetic code in a way, developed over ages by ancestral generations and thus signifies father too. On our palms this is marked as mount of Ju, at the base of Index finger. 5th is also in creative triangle, as is 9th but it shows our contribution too, being 5th (progeny=creation of self) from 5th (self=creation of father) from 9th (creation of our forefathers=our father). Interesting is bhavat- bhavam also. It shows the abstract quality/ intensity of significations of a bhav. 9th from 9th is intensity of creation showing one's procreative powers in every sense and thus it shows talents too. There may be repetition but I just felt like sharing my limited understanding. Om Shri Krishnarpanamastu. Radhekrishna!
