Point is that Atmakaraka is not involved, and the severity of the curse is quite low. However because the dispositor of karakamsa is involved, it should show up without doubt. I have a simple thumbrule. If an Upapada is somehow involved in a curse, then the person will see suffering in that relationships. In this case it actually blocked the relationship from happening. She was your first upapada. Well, matching should be done carefully. Lagna matching is important; see you have a predominance of tamasic planets on lagna, whilst she has one of each; satvic (sury), rajasic (budha), and tamasic (ketu). So because of Ketu its ok match intellectually. Also furthermore your lagnas match each others upapadas, so that is all correct. Now, your moons are also well placed showing that your family can indeed support her coming to the marriage. These days this is not so important. One note is that you may have some ego-problems during the relationship, but nothing we can’t cure with fasting. But the Rajiu matching is definitely not good. But this refers more to the ability of the couple to protect each other. The matching here is however also showing that there will either be physical separation during the marriage, or you will have trouble settling down during the relationship. Looking at the two charts, her chart indicates some travelling after marriage. So... what to do? Fast on Saturdays and ask your mother again. Saturn is in the seventh from Venus and whilst this isn’t a problem normally, however this Saturn is retrograde and is blocking the coming of the spouse.
