Guest guest
In Narayana Dasa it says: "...if the third house has malefic planets in it, then they can suo-moto, cause Argala. Such an Argala does not have any kind of intervention." I understand the basics between determining Primary and Secondary Argalas and Virodhaargala as well as Special Argalas, but the above statement I'm not too sure about; what does "suo-moto" mean? I thought Argala IS intervention, so how can something cause Argala but not have any kind of intervention? also, is there a difference in the type or quality of influence between Argala and Drishti or conjunction? further... does "obstruction" apply only to a planet or planets causing Argala? for example: Saturn in O12 but no planet in A2, will Saturn still cause Virodhaargala on the planet/house in question or would Virodhaargala only apply to A2? I thought Argala IS intervention, so how can something cause Argala but not have any kind of intervention? [Visti] Rather i think Sanjayji meant to write that “such an argala cannot be removed by the intervention of the argala of the eleventh house.” I.e. It cannot be obstructed. font-family:"Courier New""> also, is there a difference in the type or quality of influence between Argala and Drishti or conjunction? [Visti] Very much. Dristi and Conjunction can color a part of life, but Argala merely intervenes. I.e. the second houses sukha argala provides food or sustenance to your, it is also called dhana argala for this purpose. So even if a house is afflicted beyond recognition causing all sorts of disturbances in the home, or what not; one benefic in the second from that bhava can intervene and help sustain the bhava through its rough trials. In this sense its like a mother who feeds one, no matter how sick one is. font-family:"Courier New""> further... does "obstruction" apply only to a planet or planets causing Argala? for example: Saturn in O12 but no planet in A2, will Saturn still cause Virodhaargala on the planet/house in question or would Virodhaargala only apply to A2? [Visti] It applies to signs/bhavas... planets just color this. font-family:"Courier New"">
