Guest guest
Dear Visti and List Members, I am new to this list and am very interested to find a mentor to help me improve my astrological skills. I have been a student of jyotish since 1985, but I am basically self-taught. Therefore I feel I am lacking in many areas. I am especially interested in learning Jaimini since I have no experience here. How does one seek out a jyotish guru on this forum? I have filled out an application form some weeks ago, but until now there has been no reply. Any help would be eternally appreciated! Guest guest
Hari Om, I am also very interested in the answer to this question. I filled out an application over a month ago, but have received no response. I also reached out to Sanjay Prabhakaran, who graciously offered to answer any questions I may have. I appreciate this offer and will definitely seek his advice if the need arises, however I am looking for guidance and a structured approach to Jyotish. Presently I am studying the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra [there is an online copy of the full text here; http://mailerindia.com/astrology/ - in the astrology section], along with a couple of Bepin Behari's books, as well as reading the various posts in this list and it's sister lists. Although a Guru to guide me would be ideal... there is also one's inner-guru, which will suffice until I am presented with one in "person". Guest guest
Hari Om Sri Visti, Dhanyavadah for your response. All I can ask for is consideration, and await a response from Sri Sarajit Poddar. In the meantime I will continue my independent studies.
