Dear Visti and List Members,

I am new to this list and am very interested to find a mentor to help

me improve my astrological skills. I have been a student of jyotish

since 1985, but I am basically self-taught. Therefore I feel I am

lacking in many areas. I am especially interested in learning Jaimini

since I have no experience here. How does one seek out a jyotish guru

on this forum? I have filled out an application form some weeks ago,

but until now there has been no reply. Any help would be eternally

appreciated!

Hari Om,

I am also very interested in the answer to this question. I filled out

an application over a month ago, but have received no response.

I also reached out to Sanjay Prabhakaran, who graciously offered to

answer any questions I may have.

I appreciate this offer and will definitely seek his advice if the

need arises, however I am looking for guidance and a structured

approach to Jyotish.

Presently I am studying the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra [there is an

online copy of the full text here; http://mailerindia.com/astrology/ -

in the astrology section], along with a couple of Bepin Behari's

books, as well as reading the various posts in this list and it's

sister lists.

Although a Guru to guide me would be ideal... there is also one's

inner-guru, which will suffice until I am presented with one in "person".

Dear Raja and Olusanya, Namaskar

Sarajit Poddar is in charge of that area, and you should be patient as he is

very meticulous with his analysis of the potential students.

I pray that your prayers will be answered soon.

Best wishes,

Reminders: (1) Recite the Shadakshari Mantra 'Hare Rama Krishna'

human stomach should not become a graveyard for animals.

(3) Practise charity in thought and deed - do one free chart reading today

Hari Om Sri Visti,

Dhanyavadah for your response. All I can ask for is consideration, and

await a response from Sri Sarajit Poddar.

In the meantime I will continue my independent studies.
