Guest guest
Dear all, "Ekam sat viprah bahudah vadanti" The knowledgeable speak in various ways though there is only one Truth that exists. Upanishads and Vedas tried to fathom the nature of the Lord. Such axioms as "Isavasya midam sarvam, sarvam khalwidam brahma, vasudevam idam jagat..." prove beyond doubt that there are no two entities but only one. The four maha vakyas of the Upanishads too establish this. Then, how is jiva related to the parabrahman? If there are no two entities, then how come we are seeing so many people or entities? Verily, all these chara and achara universe is made up of Brahman. He is the reality and we are the replica of such Absolute Reality, which is verily the Awakened Awareness However, the chaya of the Lord, expressed as Maya , vidya maya in some cases and avidya maya in others, is comprised of the 5 elements and the five characteristics-nama, rupa, asti, bhati and priyam. whereas Lord is beyond these traits. Planets and their upa grahas can be related to the five elements and thus, it can easily be gauged what could be the characteristics of each planet. Each planet is also accorded a geometrical figure, depending upon their distance to the Sun and it is Pythogerus who proved that these distances are related to the musical notes. Thus, planets are related to geometry and music. Planets can also be related to numbers. Existance of planets is a natural phenomenon, musical nodes are a natural phenomenon, existence of the five elements is a natural phenomenon and the lines of geometry are natural phenomenon, as are the numbers. Thus, we can find a unison in the variously manifested nature, echoeing the principle ekam sat, viprah bahuda vadanti. While there is only one truth, it is manifested by the nature(vipra) in various ways. The five elements have a hierarchy in their characteristics. While the earth has all the five traits of roopa, rasa etc., ether has only sabda as its charateristic. The Brahman being beyond ether has no guna. Unless we understand these upanishadic principles, it is very difficult to go further in the study of astrology. The zodiac, which is verily the macro replica of Narayan, is represented as a chart. This chart represents a native. Thus, the native is nothing but a replica of the Lord God himself. Once you remember that you are verily reading the chart of the Lord Himself, you are only trying to find out His leelas expressed through the Life he has created, it is very difficult to be accurate in your predictions. A more "scientifically oriented" astrologer should remember that he is looking for the patterns of the universe in a chart, which nothing but the handiwork of the LOrd.
