Guest guest
Dear Visti-ji, namaskar. I have a question regarding the fructification of the retrograde planets' indications. I read that long ago, Sanjay-ji taught that if Su is in 5th, 6th, 7th from a retrograde planet (with longitudinal difference counted in the zodiacal direction less than 180 deg), then determining the difference between the longitude of Sun and the planet and then substracting this difference from 180 deg, the number will show the year of life when the retrograde planet will bear fruit. if the longitudinal difference between Su and the planet is more than 180 deg. such event will not happen as it has already happened in the past. He gave an example of the dog-bite incident due to retrograde Shani in the 7th from Sun in his rasi chart. Can you please clarify this. I think the philosophy is that retrograde planets indicate karma done against the wishes of the king, i.e. Su and the strong karma fruit represents the raja-krodha. If Su is in 4th or closer to the planet, the longitudinal difference is too low, giving the fructification age to far into the future and before mortal period of life. Also please clarify that if this is the case, then after the said year is passed, will the planet be considered giving results akin to direct motion or should we take the natural age of the planet for that ? My understanding is that if retrograde planet shows accumulated past karma that whose frutification is imminent in the present life, then after that fructification is over, the planet should ease up and be more direct in its attitude. Best wishes, Sourav
