To Visti-ji -- Derivation of Profession from Rasi and Navamsa

Dear Visti-ji,

 

namaskar. Enjoyed very much your lecture on

Profession in mp3 in your website. I am trying to apply your principles

to my own chart and trying to see what careers are suitable for me.

Would you kindly provide guidence and let me know something that I am

not seeing?

 

I am inclined to jyotisha and philosophy of it and I think it is shown

in my chart. Guru in lagna, Ketu in 10th, 5th lord is with Surya and

aspecting Lagna, Lagnesh & AK Budha in Scorpio in the 6th house and

aspect by rasi drishti 11th house and lord.

 

In my chart (you will have the date saved: 5:38:41 p.m. Jan 3, 1978,

Calcutta), Guru is in Lagna and aspected by Rahu and Ketu in their

Moolatrikona rasis. Shukra and Surya are also aspecting by rasi dristi

to Lagna from the 7th house. Out of these, only Rahu is in trines to

Navamsa Lagna. Chandra is also in the 5th from Navamsa Lagna (lagna &

chandra are vargottama). Arudha lagna is Mesha and its lord is Mangal in

debility and vakri rendering it to be akin to exaltation. Only AK Budha

is aspecting AL (and 11th house) by rasi drishti, making me think career

in Communications and Engineering. Varnadaa Lagna is in Vrshabha rasi

and its lord is Shukra who is aspecting Guru in Mithuna Lagna. Shukra as

lord of VL can show consultant/astrologer. Ketu is strongly posited in

moolatrikona in the 10th house (most important house) and is in 11th

from VL and also can give ganita or astrology. Guru is lord of 11th

from VL and in Lagna can show teaching, vedanga jyotish, advising etc.

But Guru is in airy sign and can show environment of shudra activity

like factory etc. Rahu and Ketu are very powerful with Rahu in Gopuramsa

and Ketu in Paaravataamsa and are in the 5-11 axis from VL thus having

strong influence.

 

In Dasamsa, Guru is Lagnesh and in the 5th house with Mars, can show

teaching of engineering subject (I am doing Mechanical Engineering).

Guru and Mangal also form Dharma-karmadhipaty yoga and are 1st and 5th

lords from AL. Surya is lord of 6th house and is only graha to aspect

the 10th house with rasi drishti and can give administrative jobs. All

the 6 grahas in the 2-8 axis are aspecting the 6th house or labor and

are too many to conclude from.

 

I am using 5:38:41 after Sanjay-ji advised me to rectify the D-12 chart.

It seems Dwisaptati sama Dasa is more applicable, more than Sataabdika

dasa as ruler of Dwisaptati is Ketu and very stong in my chart (I

applied Dwisaptati and got better results). I am about to complete by

doctorate and enter profession, hence the query. How is teaching and

jyotish as a career and if that is what I would be doing in near future

? There is probably a career change after 2010 as Meena ND starts and

stretches till 2019. During this period Mangal Mahadasa (enchanging with

Guru and they are conjoining) will be running from 2008 till 2017.

 

For Rajayogas, Surya's rasi lord is Guru in Lagna and Janma-nakshara

lord is Mangal in retrograde and debility giving strength. Mangal is

also in own house in Navamsa. So rajayogas will sustain.

in Communications and Engineering.

I have gone through your beautiful analysis by Saurav.Visti's said lecture I did

download but finding time to listen.I am writing this mail because I also want

some clarification on Your chart from Visti.

In your D 10 From MOON two planets are placed in Tenth that is in Cancer.Both

are Retrograde.Jup is exalted and Mars is Debilitated.To my mind this is

typical situation.

Placement of planets in tenth from Moon in D 10 indicates

work that will sustain you in Life.Being JUP in Exaltation it could be Jyotish

Teacher no doubt I am perplexed how Debilitation of Mars and Retrogression of

both Planets going to favour you.One thing is certain in field of Astrology you

are sure to make a mark and going to gain status, because JUP is exalted from

sun in Tenth in D 10.

Moreover This combination is occurring in V in D 10 chart.

This House tells about association and oppurnities.

You have written that You are doing PHD etc .You are under

Taurus/Aqu Narayan Dasa in D10.& you are running Scorpio /Gemini in D1 .What

is likely result we.or.to. job and circumstances in general.

Dear Visti-ji,

Namaskar. Many thanks for your guidance. So it boils

down to Research/Consultancy/Jyotish and may be teaching also and Guru is

involved. Yes you are right. Grahas in vakri and exaltation signs turn the

hopes 180 degs. At present, I am not sure Jyotish is something my family will

think best as it is not something traditional in my family, but I really want

to do it in future professionally.

Yes, I must worship Devi Durga for guidence. Rahu is not only my Ishtakaraka,

but Palana devata as well. I am doing the Kalpavriksha Mantra for Devi.

Dear Srivastava-ji,

Namaskar. Thanks for your tips. Yes,

indeed grahas in the tenth from Moon shows career/activity which sustains

oneself. Here a retrograde and exalted/debilitated grahas can show changes

from one to another. If you see in the rasi Chart, Mars is again in the 10th

from Moon with debility cancelled. And these two grahas are again together in

the 9th from Karakaamsa in the navamsa Chart. So this shows soul level

inclinations. Jupiter is giving neechanbhanga to debilitated AK in the navamsa

by being in lagna in the rasi chart. This is not as per standard rules but does

show that with strong Jupiter, AK comes out of debility. Hence teaching is

something I may have to consider. Present Dasa is Chandra-Rahu (Dwisaptati

Sama) and I should be finishing my doctorate within this so there is

possibility of Job change (start) both being in the 8th house of

transformation.
