How much does mercury effects in one's studies ? See I am in great trouble right now and want some help from some one learned enough to suggest me and help me out of the problem. I am not learned astrologer and have developed some interest lately. My son who is 20 years of age with birth detail as :- Date -> 26 April 1983 Time -> 8:20 am Place -> Delhi,India He is not able to gain success in studies and is failing in all the attempts to study.He just now failed in another exam. I am very worried for him and his future. I will request king_Tanvir to read his bio-data and suggest some remedies.We had consulted a local astrologer and he said that shani is bad for him. Right now he is wearning Panna Gem in Gold in right hand in ring finger.Same astrologer had suggested that and he said that this will help.He is wearing that since last 2 months. but I am not able to see any change whatsoever. I will be greatful for my life if someone can help me in this. I am growing old and going to retire and before that want to see my son taking up some profession line. Please tell me if he will able to study and take some professional course and how will be his career. If some upayas are to be done then please tell me. With hope that some one will help me. Shani comes into consideration when it is any of 9th / 10th / 6th lord or/and influencing those houses/lords strongly. If Shani gets the authority of career and is ill placed, it makes one giving much labour but ill paid, generally low paid labours are indicated by Shani. But in that case it has to be very ill placed and be a 6th/10th lord etc or influencing those houses etc. Mercury rules intellect, it gives medical and scince based studies mainly. If merc is ill placed and afllicted then the person faces probs in studies etc due to the problem of his intellect / understanding / expressing matters and concepts. His merc is very weak being 12th from 2nd in lagna. I think strengthening it with panna should help, do not know why it is not. Make sure that the stone is of a good quality etc. Panna should be worn in SMALL FINGER and not in ring finger since ring finger is for sun which is in his 12th house. He can also chant / listen to mantras of budha that should be good. Yes Shani is another hardship for him I think since it is yoga karaka for him. Shani being Rx-exalted is very bad as per my view. Sat in 6th house make things much worse... being in evil house as yoga karaka is not good at all. How was saturn periods in this regard? Like '94, '95 etc? They surely should be bad. Taking care of Saturn is detailedly discussed in my site, please refer to that page. He should also chant or listen to Gayatri mantra which should be good for his wisdom, mental maturity and intellect. His 12th house is excessivly strong showing a lot of foreign travels also marriage in foreign is also not impossible. I am very very worried for my son.Can you predict/tell remedies for his future as to his profession and higher studies. Will he be able to study further and under go a good course. Right now he is going through a very bad period of life as nothing is working for him.But he is putting in lots of hard work and thats true 100%. we are also very worried for him. We never went to astrologers before but now the period of life is very very tough so we are consulting astrologers. Can you help us out of this crisis of life.I will be obliged for whole of my life to you. I request you to read his horroscope and tell us - his future - his profession (consistent and regular source of income) - his studies And if something other is really bad (like evil house which you mentioned-what does that signify) then please tell us the remedies for that also. Actually he started wearning panna gem from this january end and gem is supposed to be of good quality as per the jeweller and he said that its among the best gems .Rest that jeweller knows. With consulting a good professional astrologer or any other list you can get far more finer help than from me - but I think there are many people who have no help at all - so something is better than nothing I think :-) I am not sure how much I can help but I always like to try. Shani is a very imp planet for him being the 9th and 10th lord and for his improvement Shani must have to play a role. It is in 6th house being exalted and retro. Doubtlessly bad. This is really surprising that the panna is not getting any good. As I mentioned earlier, again I would like to advice that the panna should be worn in small finger. Ring finger is of Sun, which is in his 12th house. Mars is in 12th in own sign is likely give him some debts I guess. Some would suggest in this case to strengthen saturn. In my site I have mentioned some simple and daily activities so strengthen saturn, please tell him to follow them and soon he will find some changes. If the changes are positive then he might try a sapphire on test basis. Saturn is very important planet for him and yes Hanuman Chalisa is very good for saturn afflictions but here his saturn needs some strength in my view - not propitiating... Having 9th and 10th lord weak, he will find it hard to prosper in life. Saturn is placed in his 6th house which rules enemies, conflicts and obstructions, struggles. So the indication is clear, also the lack of strength of saturn says yes to it. There will be conflicts and difficulties in his field of profession. Let me tell you that Many things that you said in the last mail seems to be true to me. I hope that I am not bothering you much. But can you please tell something which will be good in life of my son. I am worried for his futue and want to do whatever I can. These days his situation has become bad.He is always worried for things and is in thinking mode because of his future. You said that "To me strengthening the benefic is much more needed for him rather than propitiating malefics." so what are his benefic planets ? What should we do for them ? Will he be able to lead a good life ? I have heard that Saturn is strict master and makes people beg in its prime time. I hope that it will not be case for my son. I will do whatever is necessay for reducing the bad effects ? Please tell me the things to be done to increase the good things in his horroscope.I do not know the goo d things in his horroscope.Everyone is telling me to strengthen his saturn some how. Mer and Saturn are bad and are affecting his profession and studies. We are going to start donating things related to saturn from this saturday. We did this sometime back also for 11 consecutive saturdays. Can we donate the "sindoor,chandi wark,chamali tel" to hanuman mandir and "mustard oil" every saturday (I mean without considering the upper limit on number of times to be done- doing it regualarly for infinite number of days). That is why these planets must have to be well placed for his success and overcome difficulties created by other planets. Wear panna in small finger. This is v important. 4. Make sure the panns is flawless (No scratch, spot or other faults) 5. Make sure the stone is not artificial. 6. I think Shukra mantra can also help if as Shani is in the sign of Shukra. 7. Gayatri mantra for better intellect and wisdom. 8. Use sat mantra before trying with stone. If your culture has tradition to apply oil on hair sometimes, tell her have mustard oil on hair on saturdays. You will see some difference.
