First of all I am confused between vedic and SA systems. which one is accurate

in your view. I beleive SA system is something new. Whose theory is that? Is he

or she is authentic?

Secondly I need an advice. Do I have a chance for higher education? If so when?

Also how will be my Staurn dasa. Is there any viparita raj yoga? Mine is cancer

lagna. HOW IS MY JUPITER DASA, AS I SEE IT DEBILITATED, BUT SO FAR GOOD.

However I had mental tensions in saturn sub period of jupiter dasa. I am

worried the same will repeat in saturn mahadasa. Thanks for your time. I will

really appreciate your advice.

Dear Neeraj,

Can you explain to me little more about SA - Systems Approach?

I saw this in the free software Junior Jyotish, but I never heard of it

before, it sounds kind of Western to me.

My books mention these:

Nadi Jyotish

Parashari Jyotish

Jaimini Jyotish

Tantric Jyotish

Tajika Jyotish

Dear Clara,

Systems Approach is a new scientific approach towards

vedic astrology and it claims to remove the

unconistenices or confusions that prevails in vedic

astrology.

In the process, they have removed many principles of

jyotish like Arudha Lagna, Bhava Arudhas, Yogas etc.

It is basically a simplified and basic form of vedic

astrology.

I studied it a bit, but found vedic astrology to be

more accurate (though difficult), but as correctly

pointed out by Shri Narshima Rao Ji, the existence and

nature of human beings is very complex so does this

study.

However If you want to know more about vedic astrology

there is a group named SATVA started by Prof. V.K.

Choudhary. You can more detailed information from

there.

Thank you for clearing this for me.

I study Parasara jyotish and that is fine with me, it is difficult but very beautiful.

In western astrology there are also many different aproaches, and side by side

western astrology and jyotish, being complementary to each other, is enough for

me for now.

Its called systems approach. This system is very differet from vedic. Tehy

consider house lords only when there is Mool trikona falls in that particular

house. For example, Cancer lagna they consider jupiter as 6th lord and they say

it does not carry any significations of 9th house. As there is mooltrik sign in

sagittarius ( even though its for a different planet). Also they dont beleive

in yogas. Classic context : viperita raj yoga, in vedic , if 6 t lord in 12th

we consider its good , they dont. Like that several things. So I got

confused,,, but not to disrespect any body or any system. Because the horoscope

gets better with any one of the systems. If one systen says its bad, the other

system says its good. Then they beleive in remedies and kavach. I dont know

about vedic. somebody please clarify. For more info ,, you can join satva

Thanks for the information. However, I fail to see the context for which these

changes have been made. What are the results of their predictions using this

approach? What is the accuracy? What about timing of events?

If the yogas are not considered for the time being because they depend on the

planetary configuration in a horoscope, the basic fact remains that one cannot

ignore any of the planets, their position in the various houses or bhavas. The

basis of this classifications is the division of zodiac into twelve divisions

commencing from Aries through Pisces. The bhava count begins from the ascendent

and each bhava has been assigned certain areas of human life - how can this time

tested, fundamental system be ignored?

On a similar plane, importance is also attached to the position of planets in

various constellations (27 in total). Each constellation has a lord and it

moderates the effects of the planets positioned therein.

Unless there are very strong reasons to make these changes and if it has been

analysed over, maybe some thousands of horoscopes with a similar remarkable

degree of accuracy, it would not be prudent to accept this system. I am not

rejecting the system at the outset but this needs to be discussed at suitable

forums all over.
