For a scorpio asc., Moon becomes the 9L so a pearl is a good choice. Sat is malefic so blue sapphire is not generally recommended. Again he is a good enemy of the asc lord Mars. Yellow sapphire is also good in general since Jupiter lords over the 5th house. NB - Lagna and ascendant means the same thing. One is English word, another is Sanskrit. They means the same thing.
