Please do not open any message which subjects following -

 

My details

Your details

Thank you

Wicked screensaver

Approaved

 

etc etc.

 

Also notice the following -

 

1. These mails are infected with virus.

2. These mails will have an attachment.

3. In the body of the mail, it wil be written, "See the attached file for

details"

4. Do not open the attachement. Then your PC will be infected.

5. These mails will size around 100 KBs.

6. Please check your system (Esp drive C:) with a virus scanner.

 

For temporary protection, I am turning off attachement feature for some days. If

the attachement is not thre, the virus is not there, since a plain text mail can

not contain viruses. However, the automated trash mails will bother for some

time. Please guess from the subject line.

 

I will also moderate the list for a few days to get rid of these automated mails

if needed.

I recommend all members not to forward any attachments. I do not open such

mails.

You may also like to programme to auto virus updates - costs a little but very

effective.

Am investigating on how the virus came through on my mail since I have all

current protections on my PC.
