Guest guest
Namaste, Jyotisha & Sidereal Astrologers; Quotidians & Transits It was mentioned in some of the emails interest in a kinetic part of astrology, sort of like watching cogs & gears at work. Such is the Quotidian, which means "daily," based on the rotation of the earth. From the Rasi we get the beginning Cycle of natal planets coming to the cardinal angles by quotidian. My experience is that the current RAAS is most accurate. Adding this to the Sidereal Time of the Chart, or RAMC per the time accrued from chart and advancing the angles; generally one degree per day. This can applied to the Sidereal Solar & Lunar Returns, SNQ =Sec.Prog., and Annual Lunars, etc. also. The Natal Rasi planets when coming to the angles; Ascendant, Meridian, Descendant, and Imum Coeli, activate the consciousness or colors the mind by the nature of the individual planet or star, whether Mars, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Regulus, Chitra, Revati, etc. Such, when Saturn rises we become for a twenty four hour period of the daily quotidian absorbed in our own connection to Saturn symbolism in the universal psyche, i.e., cautious, fearful, distrustful, inhibited, tamas like, inert, rigid, etc. When Mars culminates we become forceful, energetic, aggressive, engaged in promoting our ideas to the world, etc. Transits now bring karmic situations or events in combination to the natural cycles of mind, that in effect the thoughts and desires we have in our inner life have become manifest by spiritual laws. The manifestations of such circumstances always occur in accordance to our personal development or spiritual growth potential. If we are bound on the Samsaric wheel, these events can bring pain and pleasure. Generally speaking many people tend to react to situations, and we suffer the consequences of our choices and actions, though they often are reactions to words, people, places and things. For instance, tranisting Venus is setting, and a old friend comes with a gift to share, lets say a ticket to a show, but your Saturn is rising, so you dont feel like going, and decline the invitation. Chances are going with the friend could have melted away the Saturn blues. Next time the astute astrologer will go to the Show with the friend! The Syzigy of the Sun & Moon in Virgo, has ancient connections to the Harvest. I find the New Moon is good for being around the house, home, not very active, but a reflective time, and just enjoying the fruits of our labor. This New Moon close to the Equinox seems to bring a shift in the mass consciousness maybe registered by the pituitary gland? Unconsciously. Should the New Moon fall upon your Quotidian Angles it could prove to be a dynamic experience for those receptive naturally polarizing the ida & pingala currents, and allowing consciousness to focus on the shushmuna, but in a downward motion to the lower chakras, Earth-Home connection. This does not mean anything debasing or negative, but rather attention and bringing intuitions, telepathy, inspirations, sense of closeness with those close to us in family and the Land. Also creative energies to balance, heal, nurture, etc. ourselves, others, and the external world, the environment. The quotidian is a valuable tool for the meditator or psychoanalist who seeks to understand the cycles of natures finer forces in connection to the mind, flow of consciousness, emotions, passions, and desires. Of course, the symbolism works in the sidereal zodiac! And others may have different experiences as we have seen from our learned Jyotish scholars sharing great gems of wisdom on this website. Hope this nformation help those interested. Om Tat Sat; Sidereal Bob. ________________ McAfee VirusScan Online from the Netscape Network. Comprehensive protection for your entire computer.
