Guest guest
Hello Tanvir, It loos like you had an exciting but busy time in Culcutta. But I am dismayed by the fact that you had to take a Visa for visiting India. There should be a better arrangement for SAARC countries so that we can all move freely. We do not have to take a Visa for going to Sri Lanka or Nepal.Does Bangla Desh allow free entry of Indians? Please a take a good rest but then come back to astrology. We are all missing you! Warm regards Kaimal

Guest guest
Hi Tanvir. It is nice to hear again from you. You have complete rest now, and till the time you recover completely, astrology can wait. Take care Manoj Tanvir Chowdhury <tanvir wrote: Dear all, I am sorry that I have not been able to get back to you yet. But I am very happy to say that I could get the opportunity to visit Calcutta and that I did for a very short time, only one day staying. Suddenly I came to know about some relatives going to India then I suddenly thought that I can go with them too, but get back alone within short which will be enough to do some book shopping which I was trying to do for long. So I had to rush for VISA, arrange my bags within a very short time and started for India with them. No English astro books [horoscopes] from India / any other countries is available in our country nor I can get them in any other ways. Only with so much difficulty I could get 3/4 books a few months ago but none of them was the desired ones. [And I couldn't have the time to read them after getting, too.] The little basic idea about astro I gathered yet is only by personal experiments - no reading of books. So I always wanted to collect those books very badly, what most of you have read but I have never :-( So this time I only went there for buying books and only stayed one day in Calcutta - the day was a real busy one, whole day out searching for books. I had a list of 38 books but could not get all of them, and got many books out of lists and thus bought 46 books total :-) Including all books of Pt. Sanjay Rath and most of the desired books by Dr Raman. However I could not get the book of PVR Jee and I mailed Shailesh Jee of SJC from there to know some names of book shops and he and one gentleman from Calcutta helped me by mailing me some good book shop names in Calcutta and also some book recommendations, but unfortunately that I got only after coming back to Bangladesh, because I was not able to stay longer there for my classes being open etc. I am very much sorry that I could not respond to to any questions, people reminded me about that in private, they have the full right to do so. Well, one gentleman also called my cellular from Indonesia a lot of times but I am not yet able to reply even him since I came back to my country only today. My hands are really sore for carrying this heavy load and fingers are red and the skin covering them burns... All these days I was totally on journey to and back from India and one day I stayed there was totally restless :-( So I expect a little more patience from all of you for giving me time and I will get back to you soon. The few important books I could not get this time will be tried to get soon when a cousin of me visits India this Dec. :-) Best wishes, Tanvir What can not happen, can never happen. Guest guest
namaste. well we need to get visa for visiting india, but it is okay otherwise many criminals can escape to other saarc countries esp india where BD police cant find them easily. same applies to indian criminals, they can escape to other countries and so many irregularities can happen without a visa system :-) indian visa is very easy, bec india is a country of tourism and one of its biggest incomes is from tourism, we dont have to give interviews we just submit the passport in the morning with necessary papers + filled form and get it back with the visa in evening. any one is hardly rejected, if they reject someone there is good cause for it. this is the condition till now. but what is v bad is the customs in border by road. both indian and bd custom harass ppl a lot for the bribes. their behaviour is also horrible. coming back i had to give indian customs 50 bucks and in bd customs i had uncle workinf in higher post so i didnt have to pay anything. in indian customs i boldly said that please check my bags, i have nothing than some books which are legal items and govt charges no tax from these, and i brought them for personal use which is allowed upto the value of 200$, even if i brought them for selling, govt wouldnt charge tax from me bec books are tax free items. even after that they forced me to give 50 bucks and also ppl from transport agency was telling that he is a student and bla bla so they charged less. also if there was no relative in bd customs they would at least charge me 150 bucks. the sad thing is that, ppl bring complete legal goods are forced to give bribes and ppl who bring illegal items happily give bribes so the custom doesnt even touch their bags. if you give 200 bucks then they will be happy to let u go without any checking and thus all the minor smuglings are done. on the other hand if u bring legal items even then u will have to give them money... i had to give 200 bucks to bd immigration bec their point was what did i do with 200$ for only one day visit to india? of course i had about 2000 bucks unspent and bringin back with me but if i showed them, they would not be satisfied with only 200 bucks :-)))))) regards tanvir What can not happen, can never happen.
