Hi Neeraj,

I have some questions on certain concepts of

astrology:

1. Vargottam planets give good results or are as good

as exalted ones. Is this true if the planet is

deblitated e.g. Mars in Cancer, Jup in Capri, etc.

 

2. In Jamini shastra, it is stated that if Luminaries

(Sun,Mon) occupy dusthanas, they donot act as

malefics. In that case can we conclude that ppl with

Lagnas where Sun,Mon act as Lords of Dushthanas can

chant mantras, wear gems (Pearl,Ruby).

 

3. It is said (in both BPHS and Jamini sutras) that

Mon repesents the mind and Sun the atma. So how for

certain lagnas the mind and spirit of that individual

become malefics to himself.

 

These questions may be silly, but I shall be grateful

if they are clarified for the sake of the whole group.

Dear Souvik,

 

I haven't read Jamini or Parashara. I have followed

the books of Shri PVR ji, Sanjay Rath ji, BV Raman

etc, so cannot comment on your last two questions. As

I am also a student, according to my present

knowledge, Vargpttama planet (if debiliated in both

D-1 and D9 chart) will in general is good, but if it

is combusted it won't be auspicious.

hi all, i wish to start the pending works as soon as possible... though i am not

able to. i wish to start from tomorrow. here i am answering some ques one asked

as per my little knowledge.

1. Vargottam planets give good results or are as goodas exalted ones. Is this

a) V planets dont give good results all the time. V condition only means it is

stronger and not like an exalted one but like an own sign one. The result of

doing good will be depend on all the facts like lordship+own

nature+position+strength etc of a planet. a planet an hardly give 100% good

result i guess.

 

b) a V planet same time fallen / debilitated will be considered weak and being V

will not cover the lack of strength for being fallen. 2. In Jamini shastra, it

is stated that if Luminaries(Sun,Mon) occupy dusthanas, they donot act

asmalefics. In that case can we conclude that ppl withLagnas where Sun,Mon act

as Lords of Dushthanas canchant mantras, wear gems (Pearl,Ruby).

 

I do not go along with JS in this matter.

Not this way. Moon is the mind so is the 4th lord/house. So with a very bad moon

even a good 4th house can not give total happiness related to mind ie mental

condition. So judge like this. The way you are trying to look at things in this

regard is wrong. Moon naturally signifies mind and so its weakness / affliction

to this will cause mental disturbance and so on.
