Guest guest
Hi, It pronounces "namah", "h" in the word must be pronounce softly. In Sanskrit, there are many laws concerning about how the voice of each word will be pronounce when it attaches to another words or ending the sentence which called "Law of Sandhi". The word "namah" is used at the ending of the sentence.Originally, "namah" is "namas" and it is a verb means to pay respect.By the Law of Sandhi of Sanskrit any "s" sound that ending the sentence must change to "h" sound or "visaraga".So the correct pronunciation of this word is "namah". Guest guest
it should be sometimes 'namah' and sometimes 'namaha'. the 'h'/'ha' at the last comes from a 'visharga'. the nature of visharga that is it gives an 'h' or sometimes a little prolonged h. the prolonged sound will depend on the letter before visharga. say, if it is 'namah' then the letter before visharga is 'ma' so the prolonged 'h' would be 'ha'. but if it was 'sourih' then the prolonged h would be 'hi' and the word would stand 'sourihi'. examples - namah > namaha sourih > sourihi rishih > rishihi however this prolonged 'h' would be very soft and short when pronouncing. so it should be like- namah(a) however in the middle of a mantra generally the h is not prolonged and in the end of mantra it is prolonged. example - om namah sivaya om suraya namah(a) regards tanvir What can not happen, can never happen.Which is mine, is forever mine.
