Guest guest
Hi Angie, Thank you for your post and link related to the 12th house. Yes, I do have Sun debilitated in my chart, but in the 9th (and not the 12th). Yet, I am very curious in the mystery that hides behind the 12th. Beside the predominant and common significations such as expenditure, liberation, losses, left eye, foreign residence, sexual enjoyment, jails, hospitals, it also stands for the nature of one's previous incarnation. I have no idea how one can pull out interpretations regarding one's previous incarnation from the planets that occupy this house. I personally have Saturn and Ketu and Capricorn in the 12th, having Saturn in it's own sign. Yes, I agree with you. It is confusing. I read a lot of interesting interpretations about Saturn owned in the 12th, such as 'achieve liberation at the end of life'. There definitely must be other important factors involved for such fortunate readings, cuz I see myself far away from such benediction at the end of my life. Well anyway. Going back to the Sun, please find below an interesting text comparing the Sun and Moon. It does shed some light on the nature of these most luminous planets of our solar system. Similar to Sanjay´s description of the Sun in his mail, we find the word 'EGO' mentioned several times. Kind regards, Roy THE SUN & THE MOON The Sun, father, and Mother, guide Earth, but in two different ways. One is our powerful ego, and the other the reflection of that. The Sun takes no hits, burns everything before it hits, and drives it off with solar eminence. The Moon, unprotected, takes hits, and is all pocked. The Moon literally massages the Earth, in the opposite direction of its spin, giving us our doubts, and our ego shadow. It's our emotions and conscience, and the Sun, our blazing confidence and ego. The Moon orbits the Earth in such a way that it's influence tries to slow the Earth. That's why the nodes move backwards. They represent the points where the orbit crosses the ego plane, the solar plane, called the ecliptic. The backwards motion of the nodes represents your doubts, and the reflection of your conscience holding back your ego. The moon pulls on the earth, through gravity, and thus the Earth bulges towards it constantly. It is massaging us, telling us, SLOW DOWN, because it is contrary to the spin. We are spinning forward, lit in our way by ego, our fire. The Moon says no no no, wait, take it easy, slow down, feel more, perceive, listen. When this conscience crosses our ego, the conscience wobbles in fear and pain, as the ego is so strong. This is the node himself. They represent the meeting of our two kinds of karma, push and restraint, positive and negative. People who have Moon conjunct a node, their minds are thus more sensitive, or feeling both go and stop, caught you could say in the meaning of life more fully than others, such as Mahaprabhu, born on a full eclipsed moon in Leo rising, conjunct lagna; that is stop and go to the extreme. Anyway, when all the planets are on one side, kala sarpa and the other sarpa, then it means that global karma is focused on this problem of our conscience verse our ego. The progress of western civilization is threatened, by what we perceive currently as "terrorists", which really means, "we don't know who or were or if there really is even any enemy at all". There's a lot of fear though. The moon, emotions/conscience, is massaging such that it causes the world to wobble, and get off balance. This is the conscience slowing the hand of the killer, putting doubt in the one seeking fame, making everyone, every forward moving definite thing, slow down and consider. This doubt force, of the moon, gradually will cause, one day, the thing to falter and fail. The Earth will come to a point where the tilt and wobble is intense, and at a certain point may roll over, or shift in some way. It may happen. On another level, there is the ego, moving fast forward, the Earth running around driven around the Sun, the human running along with his plans and ideas, and the Mother, Kali, Durga, is trying to tell the person, hey, don't forget ME, and she is massaging, and lighting the night, she's there when the ego dies, goes away, when the father doesn't give power, she's there, usually, to give a little guidance, in a gentle way. Don't forget me she says. I may be pocked, a bit screwed up perhaps, small, not very bright, but I matter, and I care about you, and I talk to you inside, fill you with life and joy, put taste into your foods, ripen the fruits, and guide you, most of all, when you are in darkness. I am the Moon, the moonlit path is mine, and it is the path of the West, where the Winter solstice has always been worshipped. When the Sun is dark, and weak, and the days short and cold, it is then, that the light shines down the corridors of the graves, and the dead arise, and walk about, and we feed them, and respect them, and honour our pasts. Our pasts are honoured in the dark, when all our plans are failing. It is then that we look back, and see who we are. It is then, that mother is there, shining a little light, saying, I'm still here, and it is Shiva, her dark husband, who alone can pacify Shani, the ruler of the West, and like him, in the West, circles of skulls are found, in temples, as on his holy neck. As the original druid of Ireland said finally "Who better to show the world the setting sun, than Ireland". Interesting, the last place it sets, after passing over China, Russia, India, and Europe. Ireland, the land of October, the place where the Winter solstice is the high holiday. Samhain approaches. It is time coming soon. It may now be time to walk towards Tara. It may be time now to make that yearly journey. I am the Moon, I am your mother, I am still here, Massaging you, away from that path of ego and burn my dear Western babies, Saturns babies, Shivas children, light like deep underwater fish, with dark hair, dishevelled, full of pain, look at me and be peaceful, for I am your mother, and I am still here, massaging you backwards, away from ego, come with me, away from ego - Angela <angelai73 <> Monday, January 19, 2004 8:04 PM Re: The 12th HOUSE. > Hi Roy and others, I didn't see the link to the article anywhere, so > here's the link http://www.indianest.com/astro/00319.htm ...maybe it > would help you.
