Dear Sanjay Chadha:

Same Analysis but more complete. Please read below again.

His RAHU/MARS Dasha will continue till early Jan 2005. This period

will be troublesome for the native as I explained earlier. It is

imperative that the native propitiates RAHU and MARS to get good

results in all aspects of life currently. His Dasha will switch to

Guru in Jan 2005.

RAHU will in all probability significate marriage for the native.

Remember, RAHU likes to be next to beauty (VENUS) and is looking for

an opportunity to "strike". This will happen when TRANSIT VENUS moves

into own sign or exaltation sign. Transit VENUS is right now in

Aquarius and will move into Pisces early next month. This is a good

move from the native's perspective (since it moves into exaltation in

Yuvati Bhava). The native will hear some good news in the month of

February regarding his marriage, maybe an initiation of some sort.

Also, Transit VENUS will move into TAURUS in April this year (own

sign) that is 9th house of father. So Father will be instrumental in

pushing the marriage and significating it. So April is another

fortunate month from a marriage perspective. But the real fortunate

month will be December 2004 for Venus would have moved into Libra in

Natives 2nd house. Amazingly RAHU would have switched Transits into

the sign of PISCES from ARIES as well significating "Vivaah" in

December 2004. I am not sure about the exact date of the Transit move

for RAHU (since I am traveling in a plane right now and don't have

access to the transit calculator J). Please check into that.

Moon is in 9th house of Father exalted, signifying Dad as a very

prosperous businessman. And moreover Guru Drishti is also on 9th.

Coming back to Guru. Guru is RAHU Dispositor as well as Yuvati Bhava

Dispositor and is sitting in the 5th. Remember what the "Sage" has

said. Guru having lordship of angles looses its benefic nature and

becomes a functional malefic for Virgo ascendant. This is not an

ordinary GURU but a GURU that is Retrograde and debilitated. A

Retrograde GURU (malefic) will affect the stomach parts in terms of

health particularly the areas around liver, gall bladder.

Guru also being Badhaka Lagnesh will give trouble to the native in

its Dasha/Antardasha periods. Even though GURU is in 5th , it is not

the "GURU" we know, it is a GURU who is the dispositor of RAHU in the

4th and Yuvati of 10th ( Badhaka Lagnesh). I hope this explains.

This also says very clearly that the native should propitiate Guru

starting 2005 with all his heart to get good results in a very major

post marriage Dasha.

Thanks for your mails. Even if we say that career of a person may not be good.

Can he still prosper in business ? or can he still have a good financial

status?. What do you suggest from this chart?

Here are the reasons, I feel that person will have a good financial position

always for the following reasons:

1] Lord of Lagna in 11th (Mercury).

2] Lord of Second in Lagna (Venus)

3] Lord of 11 exhalted in 9th

4] Lord of 5th house in 10th (thats like a Neech Bhanga Yoga) and considered to

be a classic Raj Yoga.

Can he lose his job in the current period. He is expecting anything can happen in next 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for your help. This is the last series of clarification on this

horoscope. He is very dear to me and I really want to see him succeed and do

well in all aspects of life.

I was very curious to learn more about bhadaka's after reading your email.

I understand that since the Virgo lagna is dual lagna, the lord of 7th, Jup

becomes a badhaka and that may lead to obstructions and delays for the

individual in Jup dasha.

I am just copying the last para of the article which throws more light on when

to consider a planet as a badhaka as per Jataka Parijata,

In Jataka Parijata we find that there is an additional condition for a house or

planet to be a badhaka. The badhaka lord for a particular lagna should only be

treated as an actual badhaka, if it simultaneously the lord of the house

tenanted by Mandi (Gulika) or Kharesha (Lord of 22nd drekkana from the lagna).

This definition has some sense in it because Mandi (or Gulika) the son of

Saturn is a great malefic while kharesha which also known as chhidra Graha is a

dire malefic as 22nd decanate falls in the 8th house from the lagna. These two

planets always give adverse results to the native. Therefore, the concept of

house of harm or badhaka as described in Prasna Marga is applicable to only

horory astrology and not in natal astrology. More over there are certain other

factors which act as badhaka under certain circumstances. Saturn, the natural

malefic and the signification of delay, obstruction, etc. seems to be a natural

badhaka, particularly when adverse for a nativity and afflicted. The lord of

6th, 8th and 12th usually produce obstacles in progress We can see that any

lord under malefic influence usually obstruct the flow of good results.

Therefore, we should not fear about the badhaka concept by giving undue

importance to it because any planet under adverse circumstances may behave as

badhaka regarding its good results of ownership, placement and karakatwas.

I had problem understanding the following line " The badhaka lord for a

particular lagna should only be treated as an actual badhaka, if it

simultaneously the lord of the house tenanted by Mandi (Gulika) or Kharesha

(Lord of 22nd drekkana from the lagna). " Is this situation applicable with

reference to the chart that we have been discussing? I am starting in astrology

and would appreciate if you can help clarify (Date : Aug 22, 1973, 9:10 AM,

Jaipur).
