Guest guest
Dear Nina: Beautiful remark, to the heart. In our Western tradition, we have the extreme example of Christ. He too, was supposed to be one with God, and though most don't understand quite about his suffering, but to me,... his enlightenment was so great...that no amount of physical, or emotional suffering could touch his unbounded bliss.... So, much so he rose from the dead. But, I also love Yogananda's book cuz... it has so many wonderful examples of Easterners...enlightened too. My, Guru, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, also has said...that a woman's 'program'... is her devotion to her family, husband and children.... Though the transcendental meditation program is ideally suited to all peoples, householders as well as reclusives..because it takes so little time and is so practically effective for daily life... So...good luck....and sneak in your meditations...whenever you can. A lot of mothering 'meditators' tell me they meditate in all kinds of strange and unusual situations...working as they do, and can...around their children. Jai Guru! Mark Kincaid Also.... it's one of the main reasons why I've loved adding Jyotish to my spiritual, meditative...practices.... because Jyotish explains the ways and flows of the world ...each day.... and especially understanding our children's and other family members charts, is very wonderful... PS....I don't know if you've heard, but I also write a Jyotish newsletter. It includes a daily, Transits newsletter as well as other aspects of Jyotish as well. If you, or anyone else in this group is interested, in subscribing, feel free to contact me personally at: m.kincaid And the newsletter is free. > "jayanshul" <jayanshul > > Sun, 22 Feb 2004 05:29:11 -0000 > > Re: Cause of Suffering....Attachment > > -It is extremly hard .I dont know how Gautam Buddha did it.But when > my kids are sick or crying i cant focus at god or worship. It might > get easier once they are grown up and out of the house.I think its > difficult for females. > > Remember they said > 1. 25 yrs for education > 2.25=50 yrs for gristhashram > 3. 50=100 for moksha.
