Guest guest
Thanks you for your kind words. The time has come for me to move on. You know where. Regards. Dear Sanjay, Hope things are well with you at home and at work. You must be aware of the H1-B quota having filledFebruary, 17, 2004. The next year's quota will beprocessed April 1. This has serious implications for me since I cannotwork till October 1. No employer would want to sponsora visa and then wait for five months before I couldcommence work. It would be wrong to expect it anyway. These are the options available to me now:1. Enroll for another Masters program (I graduatedwith Masters in Computer Science from UMass - BostonMay 2003) and keep looking for jobs as marketimproves. This gives me status. Importantly, I don't have toleave the country. I am seriously considering this.2. Return to India and make fresh attempt(s) to comehere either for further studies or employment. There is the issue of seeking visa again, which soundsa bit risky.3. Return to India for good. Not something I'd like to do at this stage unless ofcourse all other options come to a naught.I would really appreciate your feedback on this issueat the earliest. If you wish, I can call at a timeconvenient to you.Regards, PS: Interestingly, I notice that since my Mercurybhukti started, things have been slightly erratic andunexpected. Also, interestingly, my saturn bhuktiunder Rahu has been the best and most productiveperiod of my life so far!!
