Friends, Let me narrate a story that my grandfather told me. It is a true story and happened around 1950. A neighbour of my grandfather, a beautiful girl, got married to a man. This man was very learned in the vedas and the astrologer pronounced that the match was great. Within 3 months, the man died and the woman was widowed. The same astrologer was shocked and studied the man's horoscope again. His 'marana' time was so apparent that this seasoned astrologer wondered how he could have made this simple mistake, which had grave results. At moments like this, let us pause and contemplate. Astrology relates to our karmas. According to my grandfather, who has some knowledge about astrology himself, besides a good understanding of the Vedas, when one's Karmas are intense, they fructify come what may. In his opinion, the woman was *destinied* to suffer the fate of a widow. No astrologer could have stopped that. At times like this, it would be beneficial for us all to realize that our powers are miniscule when compared to the grand Cosmos. With our powers, we try to read charts, but the grahas are more powerful, and sometimes Karma causes strange results. I pray that your friend and his wife manage to see eye to eye soon. In case my harsh description of the laws of Karma offended you, I apologize. ===== Balaji Narasimhan, Author Visit http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm for: * Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs * The Partial Art of Detection ===== Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
