i am a bit surprised about this ' banana' remedy. generally bananas are

essential part of Shri Vishnu/ Narayan pooja and Shri Vishnu and Devguru

Brihaspati are always linked together. without banana leaves pooja mandap is

not complete and generally bananas are part of 'prasad'.whenever thursday fast

is advised for pleasing Jupiter-- worshiping Banana tree is must. it is

commonest remedy suggested for marriage purpose to girls. but if i am not

wrong...fruits of such banana tree are not eaten which is used for worship by

the girl and family.

i have never read Lal Kitab so i can not comment on this angle but traditionally

bananas make integral part in Indian socio cultural canvas. in many states of

India like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Bengal ; a banana tree is always found in every

home, offcourse not inside the home. in Kali mandir i always get 'Shirni'

prasad made of milk, bananas, dry fruits and sugar etc on every SatyaNarayan

pooja as well as on ' Bara Thakur' [shani Dev] pooja.

i don't know what do you mean by 'secular remedy', kindly explain.

Respected members,Tanvir bhai has rightly said that if you have to propitiate

Jupiter , you must not have a banana plant in the house , try avoid eating

banana fruit and have plants with yellow flowers inside of the house. According

to the Lal Kitab , which gives secular remedies , banana plant is an object

associated with Mercury . We all know that Jupiter and Mercury are enemies. Now

you can not appease Jupiter by having its enemy in the house , it is simple.

Next the banana fruit , Lal Kitab associates it with Ketu . The relationship of

Ketu and Jupiter is one of chela and guru , Ketu is a chela of Jupiter ,

therefore avoid eating the chela otherwise you might annoy the guru instead of

appeasing him. And finally the yellow flowering plants. Yellow is the colour

for Jupiter , and by having yellow flower plants in the house , we are trying

to establish Jupiter in the 4th house, our home. And we all know that Jupiter

is at its most benefic in the 4th house , better than even in the 9th. Now it

explains the entire rationale of remedies based on the centuries old

traditional wisdom .With lots of respect and regards to the learned here.bhuwan
