Guest guest
Respected Triptika ji, You are absolutely right, and that's why if you want to appease Jupiter , avoid any form of sacrilege of the banana fruit. As regards the banana plant in the north India , it is considered clean too , but is planted away from the house. The general explanation given is that it breeds snakes. The general remedies reccomended in traditional astrology are either chanting mantra , or a jaap , fasting , etc which are so religion specific. They might come naturally to a hindu , but some one not brought up with that tradition may not find them very easy to do , or may not have similar feeling as a hindu would. Secondly these remedies are long , time consuming and tedious , ten mala jaap , 108 recitations of a long mantra for months. The lal Kitab remedies are every day remedies evolved through centuries old folk wisdom.Lal Kitab remedies are not religion specific. with lots of regards, bhuwan , "triptika" <triptika@h...> wrote: > i am a bit surprised about this ' banana' remedy. generally bananas are essential part of Shri Vishnu/ Narayan pooja and Shri Vishnu and Devguru Brihaspati are always linked together. without banana leaves pooja mandap is not complete and generally bananas are part of 'prasad'.whenever thursday fast is advised for pleasing Jupiter-- worshiping Banana tree is must. it is commonest remedy suggested for marriage purpose to girls. but if i am not wrong...fruits of such banana tree are not eaten which is used for worship by the girl and family. > > i have never read Lal Kitab so i can not comment on this angle but traditionally bananas make integral part in Indian socio cultural canvas. in many states of India like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Bengal ; a banana tree is always found in every home, offcourse not inside the home. in Kali mandir i always get 'Shirni' prasad made of milk, bananas, dry fruits and sugar etc on every SatyaNarayan pooja as well as on ' Bara Thakur' [shani Dev] pooja. > > i don't know what do you mean by 'secular remedy', kindly explain. > > thanks and regards, > - > bhuwanvashishtha > > Monday, March 15, 2004 9:58 PM > Re: Jupitor remedies >>> explained @ Lal Kitab > > > Respected members, > > Tanvir bhai has rightly said that if you have to propitiate Jupiter , > you must not have a banana plant in the house , try avoid eating > banana fruit and have plants with yellow flowers inside of the house. > According to the Lal Kitab , which gives secular remedies , banana > plant is an object associated with Mercury . Guest guest
kindly don't prefix 'respected' to my name..i don;t deserve this. thanks for your clarification...i too belong to north India but never heard that a banana tree is shelter for snakes.but sure it is not a common tree planted in home gardens like south. i dont know why Lal Kitab forbids use of this fruit while it is part of hindu pooja samagrees.how come it is considered 'sacrilege'. also i am surprised that we want choicest things, which actually are denied from destiny..we want God to change His mind but for ourselves..find short cuts. repeating His name even 108 times is a burden?????? i am confused, so it is better that i stick to my old beliefs instead being ' neem hakim, khatraye jaan'... with best regards, - bhuwanvashishtha Tuesday, March 16, 2004 6:45 PM Re: secular remedies >>> triptika ji Respected Triptika ji,You are absolutely right, and that's why if you want to appease Jupiter , avoid any form of sacrilege of the banana fruit.
