Hi Ruchi,

I am not a pro at this...but felt like checking your chart...at a

glance this is what i figured...

i would think Saturn being ur lagna lord would be a good

planet...though six house is a good place for saturn, but because it

is retrograde and ur lagna lord, it causes delays in life...the best

thing would be propitate Saturn...a visit to saturn temples would

definitely made a big difference..u are also going through saturn

dasa and venus bukthi...though saturn and venus are good

friends...this period nullifies all raja yogas i feel...

....u should definitely visit saturn temples and do saturn

remedies...also i notice that jupiter aspects saturn in ur chart...by

itself...jupiter's aspect is good...but because it is a functional

malefic in ur chart...and sitting in ur second house of

wealth...jupiter remedies would also help...mercury 5th and 8th lord

is strong in ur chart, being vargottama...a strong intelligence is

indicated since ur fifth lord is mercury and earnings through it is

also indicated since it is in the 11th house...i don't know what ur

chosen field is but anything involving communication and technical

stuff (mars being ur tenth lord with a parivatana with venus, (but a

retrograde mars, i have no clue about, this)!)

Definitely visit a saturn temple and do the saturn and jupiter

remedies...it will make a big difference...preferable do it fast,

before the transit jupiter moves into ur 12th house from moon...

Coming to the moon, ur moon is with rahu...rahu remedies would bring

peace and also remove obstacles...ur moon is in swati, a star of

rahu...propitate these three planets and see the difference...do the

remedies sincerely...and leave the rest in the hands of God. it works!

there's also something i learnt...a naga panchami puja done once a

year, itself works tremendously for me through the year...don't miss

the naga panchami puja.

It would help to cultivate a feeling of surrender to the universal

forces...when things don't work we tend to worry...instead do ur bit

and leave it to the forces above to work it out. most of the time, we

realise that we worry needlessly and worrying leads to depression

which saps ur energy and doesn't help one wee bit! Quit going to

various astrologers...there are a hundred ways u can intepret a

chart...there are so may rules that overrule a rule...better to just

stick to the basics and work with it!

i hope this helps

Thanks,

Will a naga panchami puja help one who has Rahu in the 7th house. Does one

have to perform the puja personally or can it be done by someone else on my

behalf. I work in a country where there are absolutely no Hindu temples and

have been told to do remedies for Saturn and Jupiter .

Does (only) listening to prescribed mantras bring the same benefits as

reciting them., since one has to be careful with the pronounciation.

I was prescribed the following remedies for Saturn by a jyotish astrologer,

perhaps it may be helpful for Ruchi? I am not an expert so please advise

it this is ok .

Remedies for Saturn are:

1. Conducting a religious ceremony of your faith offering Blue Flowers,

Blue

Flags, Oil Lamps from Gee. Or Blue or Black objects such as Clothes,

Kitchen Implements, Pens

2. Cleaning the premises of any religious place of your faith offering

robes to

priests or giving alms.

3. Wearing a ring made of Silver and set with a Blue Sapphire (A Deep Blue

Gem). Gem needs to be set in such a way that, it should contact with skin.

Weight of the Blue Sapphire should be higher than 1 Carat (1 Carat is =

200mg; and 5 Carat is = 1gr) . The Blue Sapphire should not contain

fractions

of 3/4 of a Carat ex. Weights like 1, 2, 3, 3 1/2 , 4, or 5 Carat are good.

Avoid 3 3/4 and 4 3/4 weights

Were it first on a Saturday and before wearing first wash it in milk and

then

in blessed water Attend to a religious service. After wearing it, You

should

not remove it for any reason. except for an absolute necessity and for a

very

brief period.

4. Releasing Animals or birds destined for slaughter. Watering, Touching

and

looking after a Nuga Tree (Botanical Name: Ficus ficus)

5. Helping the needy, Specially the old people with leg troubles, Donating

artificial legs, food, medicine or clothes in a Saturday is the best

6. Feeding the birds, fish or animals, (Specially feeding Crows in a

Saturday

morning with red rice cooked with milk and gee)

7. Purana Manthra to recite 7 times daily is :

Om Nelanjana Samabasham- Raviputhra Yamagrajam

Chaya Marthanda Sambutham- Tam Namami Saneishvaram

If using this manthra you should avoid eating meat.

Hi,

I've felt that just pouring cold, unboiled milk over the naga idols

on Naga Panchami day keeps the whole year peaceful...since you do not

have access to temples, i guess u could always ask someone to perform

the puja on your behalf, as along a u pay for it(very important).

About the remedies, the ones that i have tried and has worked for me

are:

visit to saturn temple and burning til lamp

offering a handful of cooked rice, mixed with ghee, sugar on

saturdays with til seeds really works...it should be the first meal

of the day and preferbly offered before u've eaten...offered facing

west.

a good compassionate heart is something saturn tries to teach in

life, i feel...yes, being kind to animals, handicapped, eldery people

definetely adds good karma.

Personally, i wouldn't wear any gemstones...

and watering a peepul tree on saturdays would be extremely

beneficial...i feel its like asking jupiter to aspect saturn...i feel

that...preferably sweetened water...

i also use til oil(mixed with any other oil, a wee bit! folks tell me

just til oil should not be burnt at home) for the diyas at home.

another mantra recommended is mrityanjaya mantra, works for both

Saturn and Rahu. There are audio cassettes available in india, u

could perhaps pick them up.

....other than that i don't know much:)

hi parvatishankar,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply , i have been

really so relieved to see yr email cos i have not yet

found someone who can deeply analyse the horoscope

and give the logic behind it before coming to a

conclusion, i have only harmed myself thru various

noon needed and adverse remedies like puncturing a

copper coin and floating it in water ehich seems to

have destroyed my mercury though i later realised

through my own study that mercuty is never bad and esp

with sun it gives good results.

also, i wonder whether wearing a sapphire will solve

my saturn probs bcos it will only increase the

strenght of saturn which is already so strong being

retrograde i believe,

I am living in usa right now and have a BSC and MBA

from india and presently doing a CFP course from

northwestern cos i havent been able to find a good

job.Alos in usa it is difficult to visit temples or

give daan or do maag panchami puja and otehr such

remedies, and also isnt my rahu good? thats what i

found out through my study?mebe ur right taht i shd

keep it simple.

Thanks for your time and interest, hope to hear from

you soon,

mebe sometime we can talk about some astrological

doubts that i have and maybe i could study yr chart,

-ruchi.
