Hi Members,

What I am writing now is a result of motivation and energy I received from a

wonderful posting by Mark Kincaid on Astrology and Christianity. However, what

I write now is completely my view and may differ from the readers.

Religion is a sensitive and personal issue and one should be very careful when

commenting on such issues. So I would just mention some statistical and

classified data and end the mail with a question.

Christianity:(Mark correct me if I am wrong in any of the below)

Christians "worship" (or pray , or observe religious concerns) on Sunday.

USA (dominantly) a Christian nation "domiantes" the world activities.

WTC and the threats to US occured during the Moon dasa of US.

America starts with the letter 'A', supossedly a representation of the 'SUN'

Islam: (Tanvir, let me know if I am wrong in this)

Muslims ""worship" (or pray , or observe religious concerns) on Friday.

Islam (perhaps) has the largest followers (Muslims) in the world.

Women (Venus) are reverred in Islam and highly respected in the original form of

Islam Women are safe gaurded and considered prized "possesions" in Islam

Muslims are the greatest cooks (Venus) in the world.

Please do ponder upon the few lines I have written and please do let me know ur views.

I am sure you will find the emperical pattern of human religion!!

Are we above celestial concerns?

Regards,

Souvik

Well, I can only let you know some facts about Islam, like -

1) After getting 7 years old praying 5 times a day in absolutely

compulsory for each Muslims. We have some special prayers too. Each

Friday there is a special short prayer at noon that is instead of the

noon's daily prayer so even then the prayer becomes 5 times and not 6

times. However for a special ocassion more 1/2 times prayers add to

the 5 times, most are optional though.

2) Fasting whole 1 month continuously in a yr is compulsory for

adults. These is said to control the lust, health fats and digestive

system and I heard that this is found true by scince.

3) These are for physically able people and weak or unable people can

skip them as per their health and ability.

4) Any bank ballance or cash money you have in hand for more than a

year will have to be paid a 'Tax' for. The tax is the 2.5% of the

money you have whole year long. [Very high] However business

capitals, homes, factories are out of these. Ornaments are not out of

this, though. This is to ballance the difference between rich and

poor, and is against of capitalism, but I do not like it :-)

* These 1-4 are very strict and difficult rules to me and I do not in

general follow them. But a few things I like very much, like the

dignity it gives to woman and females, may be the highest in all

religions. Like a daughter has the right in her fathers wealth as per

the 50% ratio of any son/male child. And such great examples Muslim

religous leaders showed to honour parents, or mothers or elders or

the women in general. Conservative dressing is also the one system

which reserves their safety a lot in general and promts less sexual

crimes.

Also the husband-wife matters are very sweet ;-) such as a few cases

lying is not a sin is to please your wife such as you look the most

prettiest to me!~ Or make up and stuff is permitted only to please

husband and they are told to inform their wives and wait outside home

after getting back from long journeys, to let their wives be nice

looking and stuff !

Islam is the toughest religion and the most strict one and these days

it is impossible to follow it properly these days. Though I do not

follow it much, [no one does than some purely Islamic countries.] but

still I would not be this happy to be born in any other religion.

Regards

Tanvir.
