Guest guest
Mark & All, At the outset i want to thank you for your detailed response to my query on the Moon transits. You taught me one of my few lessons which i would cherish for a long time. I would like to share few points on the Saturn - Moon Combination in the Charts of people. You touched upon on this yesterday. I remember you have Moon & Saturn in Virgo your 12th house. (Libra Ascendant) I have my Saturn in Cancer with Moon and Mercury in Capricorn (Taurus Ascendant) Intrestingly, for you, Manah Karaka, ( the moon alone ) is influenced by Saturn. For me, both my Manah Karaka and Buddhi Karaka (Moon and Mercury) are influenced by Saturn. I want to share a small story of Saturn. When Saturn was born to Sun and ChayaDevi, it so happened that he gazed (Dristi) Sun who was about to rise in the early morning. Just by his look the wheel and Axel of the charriot of sun broke, the charioteer fell and lost both his legs, all the 7 horses of the Sun's Charriot became blind. Such is the power of Saturn's gaze/look. Even in astrology, the aspect of Saturn is more powerful then its conjunction. For you it is only conjunction and me it is aspect. I had to state the above facts as to convey how reinforced my experiences have been, about Saturn. I explained the above things to share my thoughts on loneliness. I have a clear distinction between being "LONELY" & "ALONE" In your explanation yesterday, the words have been used interchangeably (say, loosely) A person can be amidst of 1000 people have lot of wealth and pleasures, but feel LONELY. On the other hand a person can be with out any company and a pauper, and he can be ALONE. Being ALONE is being in the constant company of the Lord, Being with the father of Jesus. Carrying out all actions of word, thought and deed in his spirit. For, in this spirit, inspite of any Relationship, Behaviour and Communication everything is identified in self and self indentified in everything. For, "HAPPINESS IS IN BEING AND NOT BECOMING" (As you pointed out in ur previous mail "God...is") It is always in being. Everything (World, God, Happiness, emotions, actions etc) is in Being. (ViratPurusha) Being lonely is being sad & dissatified, no one to share with. Devoid of the true Knowledge. I strongly believe, out of my experiece, Saturn can only cause a person to be ALONE and never LONELY. There is a story for this, Saturn is a deep devotee of Bhagavan Krishna. One day he was in meditation, oblivious of his surroundings. You see, this is the reason why Saturn likes the deep blue colour, being the color of Lord Krishna. It might be reminding him of the Lord. That day, it so happened that his was wife desired to have a union with him (being an auspicious day) She wanted to have children. No doubt she was a very chaste women, pativrata, as we say in India. She waited for her husband to come down from meditation. Unfortunately Sani came down from meditation only the next day morning. Disapponted at the turn of events, his wife curses him. (It is the responsibility of a husband to give children to a wife when she asks for them.) Per this curse, on whom ever the gaze of Sani/Saturn falls will be destroyed(So to say). From then on Sani, being compassionate, has been leading his life with his looks facing the earth and a bent head. Consciously he never looks at any one, for he does not want misfourtune befall on any being due to his gaze. This is the reason why he lost to Guru/Jupiter the Graha-adhipatya, inspite of being equal to him. To conclude, if at all one can tune to the frequency the of Saturn, we have valuable lessons to learn. For Saturn has more power to make a person spiritual then any other planet. OM TAT SAT. Rajeev, thank you for this wonderful message. I can relate to it so strongly. I have Saturn in the first in Cancer. I never feel lonely, never get bored but like my own company and need a certain amount of solitude (though I have many friends). I also agree with the spiritual quality of Saturn. He has kept me spiritually motivated since I was small. He is a hard task master but he gives many rewards.

I would say, one grows (with time) from "being lonely" to "being gratefull to be alone".
