Guest guest
Dear Rajeev, Let us take a few examples. 1....The Destiny of Human Soul Birth->Childhood->Youth->Old Age->Death->Re-birth->Childhood->... My friend, some noble souls, very human like u and me have broken this cycle, changed their destiny to attain Moksha. Yes, I agree that that not everyone can do it, but the fact remains that even if one has done it, humans can change their destiny. 2.....You must be knowing that "Indra" was a position and not an individual. Humans have attained Indrattwa. They have changed their destiny by ruling the Gods. 3.....Indra and other Gods from time to time sent celestial nymphs to distract the mortal beings from tapas. Why? Because they feared that such is the strength in Human "consciousness" that not only could they change their own destiny but also the destiny of others (I mean Gods) I feel that destiny and relying on it are signs of mortality, very "instinctive" reaction of humans. 4.....Swami Vivekanada said that Astrology makes an individual weak and dependent. He was actually hinting at the "destiny" predictability part of astrology. I donot consider Destiny synonomous to Divinity. I consider Karma, "conscious" efforts to be synonomous to Divinity. We say that "God/Brahma/Allah CREATED the universe". Their too is a verb. HE DID something. IF even he relied on HIS DESTINY well....perhaps we wouldn't have been discussing destiny. I feel that "Destiny" is instinctive. Man loves to say: "Are yaar bhagya mein nehi thaa islye..." I feel that Divinity is : "Give me strength Lord so that I can DO IT" Regards, Souvik
Guest guest
Oh Dear :-) :-) Humans have not changed thier destiny but made thier destiny to attain Indratwwa. Out of desire the made/worked towards it. This was not against the law of karma. They desired it performed actions to get qualified and attained it. Again you say, chaged thier destiny :-) :-) it is not change but made thier destiny. It is in harmony with thier desires they attained and not against or overcoming the law of Karma that they attained it. I concede to this perfect statement from you... " I donot consider Destiny synonomous to Divinity. I consider Karma, "conscious" efforts to be synonomous to Divinity." In all what u say it is the Karmic results that come back as destiny which people are experiencing. (Thier own Karma phala.) There is no free will going against destiny in all the thing u are explaining. I am only able to see harmony between free will and destiny.. ther is no contradiction. , "OM" <explore_vulcan> wrote: > Dear Rajeev, > > Let us take a few examples. > > 1....The Destiny of Human Soul > > Birth->Childhood->Youth->Old Age->Death->Re-birth->Childhood->... > > My friend, some noble souls, very human like u and me have broken > this cycle, changed their destiny to attain Moksha.
